Burgdolf has been one of the biggest reasons that SSAS made a run to the VISAA D-I state semifinal as their starting point guard, and his steady play over the last few years led to him committing to D2 powerhouse Cal PA before the season started. The 6'0” lead guard has all the intangibles you want out of a small guard as he's natural leader and makes great decisions with the ball in his hands, he's crafty off the bounce and works well in ball screens, he's a skilled shot maker who can create space and make shots efficiently from multiple levels, and he sees the game ahead of others with a natural feel and high IQ.

Kolev is a highly intriguing prospect hailing from Bulgaria who made a name for himself on the HGSL Circuit with the Washington Warriors when he wasn't playing FIBA U18 this summer, and he's a guy coaches should definitely take a look at with his blend of size, athleticism and skillset. He has that euro style of game where he can handle the ball and makes great decisions with great size on the perimeter, he can get downhill and use his athleticism and length to play above the rim, he can drill it from deep and get to spots in the midrange, and he plays with a competitive chip as well.

13) [player_tooltip player_id='1782663' first='Devin' last='Toatley'] | 6'0” PG | Bethel Academy (#44 Overall)

Toatley transfers to Bethel Academy with new coach Angelo Hernandez after being a standout at St. John's in DC the last few years, and the way he's played during the preseason and early in the season he looks like he'll be one of the top guards in the DMV this year. He's a freak athlete at the lead guard position with blazing speed and a quick first step as well as great hang time as a finisher, he can knock down shots from deep and get to spots in the midrange, he can make others better with his playmaking ability, and when he wants to he can lock up ball handlers the length of the floor too.

12) [player_tooltip player_id='1782688' first='Khaliq' last='Carson'] | 6'0” PG | Bishop Ireton (#42 Overall)

Carson hit a major growth spurt between his sophomore and junior season which led to him getting recruited by multiple division one schools, and when it comes to an old school type of floor general you won't find many that fit that mold better than Carson does. On a talented Ireton team with a number of scorers he controls the tempo and gets them into sets while putting his teammates in positions to get easy shots, he sets the tone defensively with his ability to get under defenders and hound them the length of the floor, he picks his spots and makes shots efficiently, and he is a big time competitor who doesn't back down from any matchup.

11) [player_tooltip player_id='1963392' first='Keon' last='Mitchell'] | 6'2” PG | Norview (#39 Overall)

Mitchell has been one of the best guards in the 757 since he started from the moment he stepped on the floor his freshman year, and heading into his senior season he's one of the favorites to be the Eastern District Player of the Year. Mitchell is a strong guard who can get downhill and play through contact, he is a good finisher around the rim and in traffic, he scores the ball well off the bounce from all three levels, and he brings a competitive edge on both ends of the floor that is easy for teammates to follow.

10) [player_tooltip player_id='2252294' first='Jemon' last='Price'] | 6'2” CG | Westfield (#37 Overall)

Price has been a big part of Westfield's rise over the past few years, and he's shown a lot of growth over the last few years to the point where he could be able to lead them to a state championship this year. The 6'2” combo is a bucket getter who can create space in isolation and make tough shots off the bounce from all three levels, he can move off the ball and is able to make catch-and-shoot shots, he is a good finisher and playmaker when he gets downhill, and he has a knack for making big time plays down the stretch in close games.

9) [player_tooltip player_id='1963387' first='Kamauri' last='Lawson'] | 5'9” PG | Oak Hill Academy (#35 Overall)

Lawson transferred to Oak Hill this year to join their new look program on the EYSL, and he'll bring a great culture and energy to their group with his intense style of play. While he isn't the biggest guy on the team he is lightning quick off the bounce and has great speed in transition to push the tempo and make plays, he's excellent in ball screens and puts a lot of pressure on the defense, he can knock down shots from deep off the catch and off the bounce and he has a great middle game, and he really thrives on the defensive end with his ability to get under ball handlers and pressure them the length of the floor.

8) [player_tooltip player_id='1963397' first='Chris' last='Morrison'] | 6'2” CG | West Potomac (#33 Overall)

Morrison has been a standout at West Potomac since being the starter from day one, and he's been one of the top guards in the NOVA public schools and is ready for a massive senior season as the go-to guy for them. He's a dual threat guard that can score it efficiently and make plays for others, he's a strong finisher through contact when he gets to the rim, he can create space and make shots from deep and in the midrange, and he has great instincts on both ends of the floor.

7) [player_tooltip player_id='1782690' first='Silas' last='Devonish'] | 5'10” PG | Bishop Ireton (#30 Overall)

Devonish has been the starter for Ireton from day one, even making a huge impact before his freshman year where he broke out in the DMV Live, and he's been a big part of their rise in the WCAC over the past few years. He's been a big part of their culture as he's a high motor and intense defender who leaves it all on the floor on that side of the ball, he's quick and strong in transition to get to the rim and finish through contact, he can score the ball from deep off the catch and off the bounce, and he's a true playmaker on both ends of the floor.

6) [player_tooltip player_id='1446198' first='Carmelo' last='Swinson'] | 6'2” CG | Massanutten (#25 Overall)

Swinson is heading into his senior year at Massanutten after starting for their team last year that went to the National Prep Championship Tournament last year, and he's had a great start to the season as their primary ball handler and playmaker. The 6'2” lefty has done a great job over the past few years getting his body right and rounding his game out, going from a straight scoring guard to a do-it-all lead guard who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He's shown his ability to push in transition and make good decisions, he's worked well in the pick-and-roll in the half court, he has showed his ability to score it off the catch and off the bounce from multiple levels, and he's really bought in defensively as well.
