The 2026 rankings dropped on Wednesday with plenty of movement across the board. We made it a point to get out and see as many prospects as possible, watched film and spoke to coaches about this class as we head into senior year. Here are players who had movement in the class.

Borne is a prospect that shows flashes of dominance as one of the classes top athletes. When he's in a groove, he's one of the most difficult players to slow down as he is a 3-level scorer that defenders refuse to try at the rim, and he also starts knocking down 3's in bunches. He just has to do it consistently. The Patriots will give him that opportunity as they'll rely on him to be a two-way standout for them. The opportunity will be there to prove himself, and he should head into this season with a chip on his shoulder. We liked what we saw from him this summer and at our showcase,s and now it is about doing it for GW. He makes a rise in the rankings and has room to improve.

Julian is a player that we got to see early on in the summer, and then did not see much of him after. Wish that we got to see him at a few showcases to show the separation from him and other guards in the class. When we have seen him, we've enjoyed his aggressiveness from the guard spot. The offense is always centered around him as he plays at a fast tempo, he controls the pace and scores with ease. While he's attacking, he's reading double teams and getting the ball moving, he's directing traffic, and is a score-first guard that handles pressure unlike many other guards in the state. Vista Peak will goes this year as he allows them to, so it is on him to take his game up a level. We expect some big-time performances from him.

Rooney put on a clinic this summer as an under-the-radar prospect who belongs in the conversation with the top names. He was a force for a loaded Elevation squad as the team's primary ballhandler and scorer at times despite being surrounded by some big-time names. He showed consistency and growth over the summer as a player who excels with the ball in his hands, does not let the game come to him, but rather goes out and takes it, and he also competes on every possession. Rooney is a prospect that I feel will turn heads this season on a solid team, and with his work he put in this season will be ready to get going. He makes a jump in the rankings.

Zander is a bucket, in every sense of the word. This summer he showcased himself as one of the shiftiest guards in the state. Opposing guards have a difficult time keeping him in front of them, and he's able to score amongst the trees, knock down 3-pointers from deep, and creates for himself and teammates. I like his poise and control of the ball. He handles pressure well, reads what the defense is giving him, and keeps teammates involved. I expect him to have one of the better overall seasons from a statistical performance and for his team to make a deep push. He will likely rise by the next ranking update, but for now, he makes a big leap. Go watch Muna if you have the opportunity.

Cowans came to one of our events this summer and had such a dominant day that I am waiting to see that Denver West team play just to see if he's able to duplicate the performance or come close. Last year, he had a solid season for West as they had a few surprise performances, but with the additions and a year of progressing together, they should be a team to watch this year. We want to see him be able to handle guard duties, score with ease, and also showcase the 3-ball that we've seen from him. He makes a leap this go-round with room to grow.

Think about putting up 9.4 points a game, while being the 4th option. You have to find ways to be productive and impact the game without having the ball in your hands as often as others. And Brody has done a great job in doing just that. Brody stays ready when the game comes to him. He shoots the 3-ball, remains aggressive despite not being the focal point of the offense, and stays involved mentally, which could be difficult at times for players. He now steps into a role where he becomes the 3rd option on any given night and still must remain mentally and physically prepared to take over. He will have his nights when his number is called and others where he has to continue to operate in the offense. I respect his ability to adapt and still get it done on both ends. He's a player we've gotten eyes on and respect his game. Expecting another big season for him, and he makes a jump in the rankings.
