Bourne has been on a tear in February, highlighted by a season high 20 point performance for George Washington. He plays with visible intensity and thrives in big moments, never shying away when the pressure rises. Bourne impacts the game in every phase from scoring at all three levels, creating opportunities for teammates and crashing the glass with purpose. His energy is contagious, and when he’s locked in, he changes momentum quickly. If he keeps that edge, he’ll be a major factor in the City League tournament
Borne is trending in the right direction as his impact continues to expand for GW. The versatility pops right now, and he’s able to affect the game, even when he’s not just scoring. That play is a reason that the Patriots are undefeated right now. He’s slashing which is opening the floor, spacing the floor with his jumper, and defending at a higher level which has been noticeable. He had a season-high 19 against Harrison and is quietly filling up the box score with 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals. He’s letting the game come to him while still elevating his team, and that has been the difference.
Borne is a prospect that shows flashes of dominance as one of the classes top athletes. When he’s in a groove, he’s one of the most difficult players to slow down as he is a 3-level scorer that defenders refuse to try at the rim, and he also starts knocking down 3’s in bunches. He just has to do it consistently. The Patriots will give him that opportunity as they’ll rely on him to be a two-way standout for them. The opportunity will be there to prove himself, and he should head into this season with a chip on his shoulder. We liked what we saw from him this summer and at our showcase,s and now it is about doing it for GW. He makes a rise in the rankings and has room to improve.
Borne dominated the 3-on-3 stage of the day catching fire from deep with a stretch of four straight threes. He’s a player who’s known more for his athleticism, so it was great for him to showcase an expanded offensive arsenal with powerful dunks and perimeter shooting. Although we didn’t see him in 5-on-5, his performance early on stamped him as one of the day’s standouts and a player who we see clearly has been working on his game. This was a great setting to get to for him, as I feel that he showed parts of his game that there were questions about. He was efficient, aggressive, and seemingly unstoppable in rhythm and that’s something to build on.

is a spot-up three-point specialist who is always confident with the ball. Borne’s court vision and IQ for the game speak volumes as he’s able to pinpoint his teammates for assists. Being able to switch screens on the fly and wreak havoc defending his matchup makes him such a dynamic player for any coach to have. Expect Borne III to continue making noise at George Washington this fall.
Borne is a player who took a bit of a dip in the rankings from the last go round, and it is simply because we need to see more of him to justify how he looks amongst the other top players in the state. We did see him at Colorado Live, and that explosion looks back. He was attacking the rim and finishing through contact. He was physical defensively and will be the team’s workhorse this upcoming year as a two-way specialist who can impact the game with his energy and athleticism. But now we have to see the consistency. This will be another opportunity to make an impression, and he’s a player that should head out to the event with a chip on his shoulder. Hope to see him there to show he’s who he’s always been and progressing.
Borne is a bouncy guard who is among the better 2026 defensive assets in the Denver metro, bringing a wiry frame and the athleticism to guard three positions with ease. Bringing great size at 6’3/6’4, his abilities as a connecting piece for this group’s wealth of offensive options will be imperative towards their overall success in the playoffs. Following averages of 9.8 points and 3 assists per game, he continues to find success in tight windows, either as a pull-up shooter or driver within a couple dribbles. Already comfortable playing within an off-ball role, Borne excels with limited opportunities.
Borne is continuing to improve his athleticism off one or two feet, effectively throwing down transition dunks once out on a breakaway. His wiry frame allows him to compete against both backcourt positions, all while leveraging his vertical pop to contest taller opponents. This previous season displayed his growth playmaking with the ball, taking greater advantage of help defense for passing lanes. Borne remains one of the most intriguing names in this class, bringing in the quick instincts and athleticism only a handful of names in this state possess.
An athletic scoring guard, Borne can throw down eye opening dunks at the rim, actively elevating high up while on the attack. One of the more athletic backcourt prospects in the 2026 class, Borne’s skill set allows him to be a productive asset on both ends of the floor. He is continuing to develop as a playmaker off the drive, making the extra pass when available.
