Expert Analysis
Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Trimm was masterful in Round 1, putting together a dominant all around performance with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. He controlled the glass on both ends, giving his team extra possessions while limiting second chance opportunities for the opponent. His scoring came within the flow, finishing strong inside and making smart reads when double teamed. He showed his awareness and willingness to move the ball making him more than just a scorer. Trimm dictated the tempo with his physicality and poise, and when he plays with that kind of presence in the paint, he becomes the steady force his team can lean on in the next round

Trimm just passed 1000 points scored at home in the 4th game of his senior season, which put him in one of the top scorers in GW history category. There have been some solid lists of scorers over there. They stopped the game and honored him for his achievement. Trimm has been a solid contributor since his freshman season and has continued to work on his game. He’s consistent, a 3-level scorer, and uses his athleticism. He hunts mismatches, plays at his own pace, and there are not many things he cannot do offensively. He’s a 1,000-point scorer and is the heartbeat of that Patriots squad. Excited to see how he elevates his game in the playoffs to try and make a deep run.

Trimm is the Patriots’ returning leading scorer, and in his Senior year, he wants to be even better. Trimm checks off a ton of boxes. He has good size, is a physical and aggressive scorer who uses his strength to get to where he wants, and he has a lethal mid-range game. Trimm gets the ball, sizes you up, and rises over defenders with pull-up jumpers. He’s also an underrated rebounder who goes right up for easy baskets as well. The Patriots look for him as their leading scorer, and he can also play off the ball. When locked in, there aren’t many prospects in the state that can match him. We went to see him last night, and he turned it on in the 2nd half, where he finished with 15 points total, and 13 of those came at a time that Overland was making a push back into the game. We’re excited to see how he continues to impact the game, and will be curious to see if he has those takeover moments. He has the Patriots sitting at 3-0 right now. He’s a player we certainly believe will pop.

Trimm is one of those players who just makes the game flow. His movement without the ball is excellent, he cuts at the perfect moments and finds open lanes that keep defenses on their heels. With the ball in his hands he’s just as dangerous, using a quick first step and tight handle to drive and finish or kick it out to an open shooter. Whatever the play calls for Trimm reads it instantly, whether it’s scoring from deep, attack the paint, or make the extra pass. His anticipation and chemistry with his George Washington teammates really stand out, as he always seems one step ahead of the defense. With his acceleration, awareness and all around skill set, Trimm continues to prove why he’s a player to watch in this class
