never lets his foot off the gas pedal, and at 6’4, he utilizes his size to impose his will on both ends of the ball. Thus far, Taylor is averaging a whopping 4.3 blocks per game, sending shots off the backboard with ease. Where Taylor thrives the most is attacking the paint, finding his spot in the close range, and converting at a high percentage. The George Washington forward has found his groove, and in his last high school season, Taylor is looking to dominate the competition on a new level.

No player in the conference has boosted their stock more than Taylor early on, and he looks like one of the most improved Seniors in the state early on. He’s been the anchor behind GW’s 3–0 start, as he’s dominated the paint and has shown real growth from last year. We just got out to see him and he had his best game yet. He had a 19-point, 10-rebound, 4-block outing against Overland, which highlighted how different he’s moving. He had a game earlier in the season where he nearly posted a triple-double with blocks, which shows his defensive leap. He’s become the team’s engine and most important player and he’s playing extremely well right now.

Kevon is a player that we saw play a few times, and he gets better every time we saw him. What we saw from him in Windsor, is the best that we’ve seen as he looked to be George Washington’s most consistent player at the event. Taylor is GW’s big man, and his confidence is growing the more that he’s playing. He uses his size to back down smaller defenders, he keeps plays alive with his activity down there, he gets rebounds and goes straight up, and he also kicks it out to open shooters. He’s a mobile big that runs the floor for open baskets, and we like how he competes on the block. GW is going to be a senior-heavy team that should have chemistry heading into the year. If he’s able to continue to impact the game defensively and on the boards, then he’s a player who should turn more heads this season. He makes a rise in the rankings with a push to rise even more with a big season. He’s pretty underrated at this point.

Taylor’s effectiveness on the glass have proved vital towards George Washington’s success this season, playing a valuable role scooping up missed shots. Bringing a wide reach to get a hand on the ball before opponents, that attribute alongside the proactive approach going to the ball has made him an excellent rotation presence for this team. His defensive discipline on shot contests has been valuable towards keeping him in the rotation, comfortable getting both arms up without biting on the pump fake.

An impactful post defender who maximizes his strength down low, he takes advantage of dirty work opportunities in the paint.
