As more and more prospects go off of the board and the high school season draws nearer it is time to run back a recurring series here at Prep Hoops Indiana where we highlight some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. These are players that definitely can play at the college level, and many of them have interest already, but remain uncommitted at this time. Here are six guards that college coaches need to have eyes on heading into the Indiana High School Basketball season.

It never hurts to recruit guys from Bloomington High School South. Clark is multi-year contributor in the Panthers backcourt with plenty of skills that will translate to the next level. He is a good shooter from beyond the arc, but looks most comfortable serving as a distributor for his teammates. Clark does a good job of getting paint touches off of the bounce, drawing the attention of multiple defenders, and then making good reads from a live dribble. The 5'11" guard is a hard-nosed defender as well.

Claxton will finish his career as a four-year major contributor at Shelbyville High School. The 5'10" guard averaged 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game as a junior while shooting an impressive 55-149 (36.9%) from three-point range. His ability, as a smaller guard, to consistently create his own shot off of the dribble is very impressive. Small college programs should continue to recruit him hard heading into his senior season.

Ferguson put up some big time stats as a junior averaging 14.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 43.0% from three-point range. The 6'1" guard makes up half of what will be one of the best backcourts in southern Indiana this season. He can distribute at a high level, but is also a consistent scoring threat from any spot on the floor. The Columbus North High School product is a high academic prospect that recently received offers from Taylor and Trinity Christian.

Admittedly, the talent is down a bit across the board in the Fort Wayne area right now. That doesn't mean though that there aren't quality prospects to find. Green is an under-the-radar name that has emerged as one of the best in the city for the Class of 2026. The athletic, explosive, 6'2" guard averaged 5.7 points per game for Fort Wayne Wayne High School as a junior and should step into a go-to scoring role now as a senior. Small college programs should be recruiting him hard.

We watched Karnes at a recent Lawrence North High School open gym and came away very impressed with his growth as a ball handler and facilitator. The 6'2" guard is best known as a three-point shooting threat, but he really showed off some improved playmaking ability at the Wildcats' recent preseason workout. Small college programs, including those with scholarship money, should be taking a hard look at Karnes as he sets to begin his senior season.

There is a ton of talent within the Pike High School program right now. With so much attention paid to their nationally ranked Division I prospects it can be easy for the other pieces to fly a bit under-the-radar. Macon is absolutely a college-level guard that should continue to get small college interest throughout his senior season. The super quick and shifty playmaker emerged as a consistent contributor last season averaging 6.5 points per game as a junior.
