such an intriguing small college prospect. The 5’11” senior was hot out of the gate connecting three early three-point shots and went on to score 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists in a 67-49 win over previously undefeated Centerville.

Clark averaged 12.3 points per game as a junior and had a good spring and summer on the grassroots circuit. He is a name that comes up in conversations regularly with small college coaches. However, Monday night was as good as we have seen him play. The 6’0″ senior guard poured in 27 points while going against a very quick and athletic New Albany backcourt. He did most of his work off of the dribble getting to the basket consistently, but also knocked down three three-point shots and a couple of pull-up jumpers. Clark’s strength and ability to create separation off of the bounce really stood out in this contest despite the loss.

It never hurts to recruit guys from Bloomington High School South. Clark is multi-year contributor in the Panthers backcourt with plenty of skills that will translate to the next level. He is a good shooter from beyond the arc, but looks most comfortable serving as a distributor for his teammates. Clark does a good job of getting paint touches off of the bounce, drawing the attention of multiple defenders, and then making good reads from a live dribble. The 5’11” guard is a hard-nosed defender as well.

While not a “new name” to us in the general since, this was the first time that Clark has actually broken into our prospect rankings and he does so up at #1116. The Bloomington South floor general is an excellent passer, but has also shown off his scoring chops throughout the spring and summer. When he isn’t setting up his teammates he is a very good three-point shooting threat in his own right. He is a high-IQ point guard coming from a winning program. Some small college will value that and get a very good player.

Clark is your prototypical Bloomington South guard. He plays without turning it over, keeps the ball moving at all times, has the strength and IQ to be a good screener, and then is ready to score when the time comes. He led the Panthers with 21 points in a win over Northview on Thursday night while also dishing out 5 assists.
