Fort Wayne Wayne continues to have an up-and-down season, but this talented senior guard has been a steady scoring presence on the perimeter for the Generals. The 6’2″ athletic scorer poured in 27 points as Wayne defeated rival North Side on Friday night by a score of 87-71. Small college and junior college programs should continue to pursue Green this season.

Green took over in the third quarter for Wayne as he went on to score 14 of his 20 points in the second half to lead Fort Wayne Wayne to a 72-65 victory. Once trailing 22-7 after the first quarter, the Generals were poured by their backcourt in the comeback victory and this unsigned senior was certainly a big part of it. Green’s athleticism and shot-making ability really stand out.

Admittedly, the talent is down a bit across the board in the Fort Wayne area right now. That doesn’t mean though that there aren’t quality prospects to find. Green is an under-the-radar name that has emerged as one of the best in the city for the Class of 2026. The athletic, explosive, 6’2″ guard averaged 5.7 points per game for Fort Wayne Wayne High School as a junior and should step into a go-to scoring role now as a senior. Small college programs should be recruiting him hard.

There are different types of playmaking, but at its root is being able to create something out of nothing. Some guys do that by drawing help and making great passes to open teammates. Green is certainly capable of doing that, but his playmaking streak really comes as a scorer. He is a very talented shot-creator and jump shooter and those skills were on display throughout the Bill Hensley Memorial Run N Slam.

There is no shortage of talent at Fort Wayne Wayne so some players simply have to wait their turn a bit to take over the reigns. However, Green staked his claim this spring and summer as one of the best Class of 2026 prospects in Fort Wayne. He will play a key rotation role at Fort Wayne Wayne this season for a Generals team that has won back-to-back Regional titles. The 6’2″ guard is a pure shot-maker with some shiftiness off of the dribble to create his own shot and the athleticism to elevate over his defender. Under-the-radar scoring threat that jumped from the Watch List to #71 in the class in our late June update.
