Everen Akison Everen Akison 5'10" | PG Fort Wayne Wayne | 2028 State IN got out in transition and converted not so easy finishes throughout OPS ‘ first game on Day 1 of the PH National Open Championship. He also has the burst to get downhill, and is fearless when he goes up with it. Which also led to him getting to the free throw line occasionally. On the defensive end, Akison applies consistent pressure and helps force turnovers with his quickness. Considering his athleticism and skill, his stock is trending up.

My first time seeing the smooth guard out of Fort Wayne Wayne playing for OPS . Had moments where he struggled with turnovers, but in the second half he got comfortable and started making plays. Playing through a wrist injury, he was able to get to his spots in smooth fashion. Tight handle with a sneaky quick first step. He’s crafty when he gets in the lane and showed his ability to play off the bounce and find open teammates. Did a good job playing through contact and finishing at the rim in the second half. Knocked down back to back 3’s off the dribble to really get him going offensively. High IQ point guard that plays at his own pace and is tough to speed up.

Lengthy guard that had a productive year as a first year starter at Wayne has been a handful to guard for the opposition this spring. Quick first step that covers a lot of ground and has shown a knack for finishing plays at the rim in crafty ways. Expect him to have a big weekend with OPS at the Prep Hoops National Open Championship.

We watched this 5’10” guard go off as a sophomore in a game that Fort Wayne Wayne played at Huntington North around the holidays. He was raining in shots from the perimeter and he continued to be a go-to scorer for the Generals throughout the season. Look for him to step into an even larger role now as a junior. Akison is one of the top players in the Fort Wayne area in the Class of 2028 and makes his debut in our rankings at #72 overall.

An unknown commodity to those outside of Fort Wayne, Akison had a monster sophomore season to really burst onto the scene. The 6’1″ guard averaged 12 points per game for Fort Wayne Wayne while shooting 34-82 (41.5%) from three-point range. His perimeter shooting ability and all-around scoring chops makes him one of the top Class of 2028 prospects in the Fort Wayne area.

It was one heck of a coming out party for this sophomore guard on Monday afternoon at the Huntington North Holiday Classic. After Fort Wayne Wayne trailed 22-7 at the end of the first quarter Akison came in and nailed four three-point shots to help the Generals take a 38-35 lead into the halftime break. He went on to tie the team-high with 20 points while making six total three-point shots.
