Off the back of a season where he averaged 17 points a game for Estero High School, LaSalle has decided to make his return to Gateway Charter for the 25-26 season. LaSalle possesses a smooth jump shot with the ability to put up points in a variety of ways, both inside and outside the arc. LaSalle's sound handle will also prove to be a valuable asset for a Gateway Charter team that is very young, yet extremely talented. Look for Cooper to make an impact for the Griffiths and be the leader for a strong team under coach Bonilla.

Coming off a major hand injury that forced him to miss a vast portion of last season, this season is to be one of redemption for [player_tooltip player_id='1633099' first='Isaiah' last='Newson']. Transferring to Charlotte High School, Newson is a major get for the Tarpons and someone who's certain to aid them on their quest to lift their fifth district title in a row. As a point guard, Newson is an excellent shot creator with speed and a quick twitch that is a nightmare for opposing guards. His excellent touch around the rim and ability to navigate tight spaces in tandem with his strong supporting cast will make Newson a prominent name in the stat sheet, and his team one of the most dangerous in Southwest Florida.

Last Season at Golden Gate, Powell led his team in all five major statistical categories (Points, rebounds, blocks, assists & steals). Standing at 6'4 and weighing 215 pounds, Powell is a great athlete who provides his new team, Barron Collier, with both versatility and a reliable downhill attacker. With shooters all around him, Powell's unselfishness will be on full display this season, giving people a full glimpse as to how talented and complete he is as a player. Be sure to keep an eye out for [player_tooltip player_id='2800137' first='Sam' last='Powell'] and the Cougars this season.

As a point guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2125500' first='Marcus' last='Nestor'] has a great feel for the game and excels at creating shots for both himself and his teammates. As a sophomore, Nestor led Port Charlotte in scoring while providing valuable effort and intensity on the defensive side of the ball. With his infectious energy, Nestor provides his new team, the Charlotte Tarpons, with another dangerous guard who already has experience playing in big-time games. With Charlotte High School already possessing a strong backcourt committee offensively, Marcus' skillset should blend in perfectly and provide the Tarpons with yet another weapon.

In his last two seasons at Cape Coral High School, Jordan Chimelis proved that he is a complete point guard who possesses the ability to create and facilitate for others. With his additional quick first step and smooth jump shot, Chimelis is a tough guard for opposing point guards and an immense get for Mariner High School's program. In a system that is centered on being fast-paced, expect Chimelis to shine and prove that he is not just a great passer, but someone who can be a consistent volume scorer.
