Fresh off a decomittment from Cincinnati after the announced dismissal of coach Wes Miller, Allen put on a show in a blowout win over Wheeler while showcasing himself as one of the nation’s top available scoring guards. Allen poured in 33 points in an efficient 13-for-20 shooting performance. Known typically for his perimeter shooting and smooth midrange pullup game, the Georgia native knocked down only a single 3, instead showing a persistent nose for the rim both attacking closeouts off the bounce and cutting downhill off his teammates’ penetration. He finished with consistent touch in traffic and was smooth in the floor game on both ends as well. There aren’t many more polished bucket-getters in the high school ranks.

Allen continued piling on what has already been a productive senior campaign with a 25-point performance. It was the second half where he accumulated 21 of the 25 that ultimately helped separate LuHi from a tough, disciplined Sidwell Friends team. In a game where the Quakers are going to demand you slow things down and operate in a half court setting, Allen’s shot making and ability to operate in the mid-post shined bright. He went 6/7 from the field in the final two quarters while going a perfect 7/7 from the charity stripe to end any hopes of a late game push from the DC program. It was a gutsy performance that the Crusaders desperately needed and can use to build some momentum heading into the back half of their schedule.

has a chance to submit himself as a top shooting guard this summer. The 6’6 guard is an electric athlete with a serious mind for scoring. He’s a big time shot maker who knows how to get to his spots without wasting dribbles. Allen flashed all the things that have scouts buzzing in limited minutes with Montverde. It’s rare for younger players to hook comfortably in shot minutes with the top high school team in the country, but Allen felt like he knew his role whenever he was on the floor.

A 6-6 sophomore guard who can score well off the dribble as well as off the catch. He has a crafty game on the offensive end when he has the ball in his hands where he can make plays happen. He plays with a ton of size and physicality around the rim where he uses his strength finishing above the rim. On the defensive end, Allen can guard positions 1 through 4 with his length and is unafraid to challenge bigger opponents when it comes to guarding the rim. Allen is looking to have a stellar sophomore season, where he averaged 24.3 points per game during the EYBL Circuit playing for Georgia Stars.
