Davids had a solid debut season at LuHi before really settling in to being in American. The British big man was at a different level during the AAU season. Earing All-First Team MADE Hoops Circuit in the process. A powerful finisher at the rim, Davids is an ideal five man who has proven to be one of the best shot blockers in the Northeast, if not nationally, in the class. His recruitment was really beginning to take off before he went back to Jr. National team play in July.

Davids was one of the most physically imposing players I saw during the first three days of the July live period. He finishes everything around the rim with authority, consistently converting through contact and capitalizing from the dunker spot. His sheer size consumes space on the interior, making it extremely difficult for opponents to establish position or find clean driving lanes. Davids controls the paint with his presence and forces teams to adjust their offensive approach whenever he is on the floor. He also stays active on the glass, consistently cleaning up rebounds and creating extra possessions for his team. For a player of his size, he runs the floor well, allowing him to generate easy transition opportunities and keep constant pressure on opposing bigs. With his blend of physicality, interior production, rebounding, and mobility, Davids is a prospect who should continue to gain traction with mid-major division one programs.

A product of Great Britain who’s spent much of the season getting his feet wet in the U.S., Davids put together a nice breakthrough performance in LuHi’s blowout win over Wheeler (GA). The lanky rim-runner got the start and capitalized with 11 points on perfect 5-for-5 shooting in just 15 minutes of play. Davids made a number of highlights with his explosive finishing ability around the rim whether as a lob threat or catching dumpoffs along the baseline. He’s still putting all the pieces together but has the physical tools and international experience to attract attention up to the upper echelon of D1 if he can begin to stack productive outings moving forward.
