The do-it-all guard can score on all 3-levels, and has a tremendous mid-range game to go along with his unlimited range. Nestor is a smart prospect who plays the game right and never takes a play off. He is a strong, tough defender who never backs down from an assignment and really prides himself on that side of the ball.

Nestor continues to impress in his new home with the Tarpons. He is an excellent 2-way player who prides himself on defense and has been producing night in and night out for Charlotte. Nestor is a gym rat who never takes a play off and is willing to put his body on the line for his team. The junior guard finished with 17 points and 3 rebounds in a win over Palmetto, and played a hard fought game with 9 points in a tough loss to Parrish Community.

Nestor scored 11 points for the Tarpons in a narrow loss to Lakeland, showcasing his well-rounded offensive game. He can score at all three levels and plays with a strong feel for the game, consistently making smart decisions with the ball. His ability to create and produce within the flow of the offense makes him a steady contributor on the perimeter.

Nestor is a hardworking prospect who never takes a play off and never backs down from an assignment. The transfer from Port Charlotte has fit in quite nicely with his new squad and helped them to a 17-6 record. He is a true 3-level scorer, with a quick first step to beat you off the dribble, an impressive mid-range game, and the 5’11” CG also shoots the 3-ball at a very high rate. Nestor is a lockdown defender, who prides himself on that side of the ball and will be in his opponents face for the entire 84 ft.

Nestor fit the role of an efficient perimeter scorer. The 5’11 guard stretched the floor with his shooting, scoring off the catch and off the dribble while forcing defenses to stay attached to him at all times. His shooting gravity opened things up for others and punished late closeouts.

Nestor had a strong finish to the calendar year at the Arby’s Classic in Virginia. The junior is a quick, three level scorer on the perimeter. He can get it going from beyond the arc which makes it even more difficult for defenders to stay in front of him. He has good strength and a high basketball IQ to go along with his offensive skill set.

Facing off against a strong Southeastern Prep Academy, Marcus Nestor Marcus Nestor 5'11" | PG Charlotte | 2027 State FL immediately provided his team with intensity on both sides of the ball and was insurmountable in Charlotte’s comeback win. On the defensive end, Nestor was a thorn in the opposition’s side all night with constant full-court ball pressure, amounting to numerous forced ball pickups and ten-second violations. On the offensive side of the ball, Nestor was also the spark his Charlotte team needed in the second half as he contributed 3 triples, with one being an and-one to regain momentum. With Nestor being no stranger to big-time basketball, expect more performances like this from him moving forward.

As a point guard, Marcus Nestor Marcus Nestor 5'11" | PG Charlotte | 2027 State FL has a great feel for the game and excels at creating shots for both himself and his teammates. As a sophomore, Nestor led Port Charlotte in scoring while providing valuable effort and intensity on the defensive side of the ball. With his infectious energy, Nestor provides his new team, the Charlotte Tarpons, with another dangerous guard who already has experience playing in big-time games. With Charlotte High School already possessing a strong backcourt committee offensively, Marcus’ skillset should blend in perfectly and provide the Tarpons with yet another weapon.

Nestor makes the move to Charlotte from cross-town rival Port Charlotte. The junior guard is an exceptional defender who will be in your face for 94ft, and really prides himself on that side of the ball. He has the ability to score on all 3 levels, with an explosive first step, an excellent mid-range game, and a knock down 3-point shooter, Nestor can score in bunches. He is a hardworking prospect who just loves the game.

Nestor has put together a strong offseason built on consistency and effort. A tough guard who takes pride in his defense, he brings a competitive edge to both ends. Offensively, he can score from all three levels and is comfortable handling the ball or making the extra pass. The work ethic is there, and it’s showing in his growth.
