Thurman’s teammate with SWFL Hoops, Nestor, was outstanding in Saturday’s win over Team New England, exploding for 27 points while displaying one of the most complete offensive performances we saw all weekend. The junior scored at all three levels, knocking down five three-pointers, consistently converting midrange pull-up jumpers, and finishing creatively around the basket through traffic and over length. Nestor is exceptional with the basketball in his hands, combining above-average quickness with advanced shot creation and a high basketball IQ. He consistently kept defenders off balance, made smart reads, and showed the ability to generate quality offense in a variety of ways. His blend of skill, scoring instincts, and feel for the game makes him one of the more dynamic backcourt prospects in the area.

The hardworking guard from Charlotte, Nestor, put together one heck of a season in his first year with the Tarpons. The do-it-all guard can score on all 3-levels, and has a tremendous mid-range game to go along with his unlimited range. Nestor scored 11 points for the Tarpons in a narrow loss to Lakeland, showcasing his well-rounded offensive game. He can score at all three levels and plays with a strong feel for the game, consistently making smart decisions with the ball. His ability to create and produce within the flow of the offense makes him a steady contributor on the perimeter.
