Smith-Holley more than lived up to his lofty ranking. He was super explosive throughout the event as a lead guard that has quickness off the bounce, elite handles, and major bounce as a point guard. That was shown off throwing some [player_tooltip player_id='2854249' first='Derrick' last='Rose'] type dunks with windmills and alley oops. So explosive off the bounce and has speed in the open floor. Also is a plus shooter from the lead guard spot with deep range on his shot pulling up.

Tucker is one of the better lead guards in the 2028 class. The Iggy floor general continues to grow and is adding some strength to his frame. His shot making is effective both in the mid-range and from three draining pull ups. Can create his own shot, push it in transition, nifty conversions at the cup, and is an instinctual passer at the lead guard spot making both the simple along with spectacular dimes.

Pittman is one of the better combo guards in the 2028 class. He is a crisp ball handler with a stocky frame. Finishes so well through contact consistently converting and-1s over and over. Also lives at the foul line with his knack for drawing fouls. Solid pull up jump shooter from two and three as he knocked in several.

Vahl was one of the top performers at the event. The highly ranked 2028 guard had his entire repertoire working in the game we saw. Such a feathery shot maker from the perimeter that poured them in from distance. He is effective both off the catch and creating his own shot. Makes them in contested situations as well. Mixed in some tough mid-range turnarounds as well. Used his athleticism off the bounce for reverse layups and creative finishes at the cup. What we also really liked was his vision and making nice dishes on the move for dimes.

Porter is also one of the top perimeter prospects in the state. He has tremendous strength and athleticism on the wing. Has a lot of the attributes you have to like in a young small forward. Maybe the most explosive downhill slasher in the class with his burst getting to the cup throwing down dunk after dunk. More than just an athlete as he has skill with his handle and shot it extremely well from the perimeter. Also has potential to be a lockdown perimeter defender.

In the full game we saw Kasten play he was the best player and prospect on the floor by a mile. At 6'5” the wing is an elite shooter especially pulling up from beyond the arc where he put in feathery threes one after another. Such an easy shooting stroke. Showed bounce handling it for multiple reverse layups at the cup. Solid passer. Also like what he brought defensively getting a jump ball on a tie up, several blocks including an LBJ swat, and staying in front of his man.

Jones was one of the players I was most looking forward to evaluating at the event. The Metamora small forward played as a freshman and will take on an even larger role moving forward. Strong with broad shoulders. Shoots it well from beyond the arc as a spot up threat from three. Won on straight line takes off the bounce and utilizing shot fakes. Also had a nice tip slam. Competes on the defensive end.

Jakstys is primed for a rise in the next edition of the rankings. He has size and big time athleticism at 6'7”. The wing skills are apparent and that is the way his game is trending. Explosive first step winning off the bounce. Finished above the rim with some big dunks. Like how he gets on the glass. D1 prospect with versatility that has a ton of long term upside.

Thomas is a big and physically built shooting guard that can also play some on the ball. He is at his best getting downhill with his burst and physicality. Finishes well through contact in the paint. Rebounds well and is a solid outlet passer.

Moore is a thick bodied wing that had perhaps the best outing we have seen out of him in the last year. The 6'3” small forward played with a super high-motor and brought it on a consistent basis in the game we caught. He got to the rim with his strength. Spinning layups and tough finishes through traffic. Knocked in a mid-rnge jumper and banged a three off a jab step to create space.
