The most productive player on the court, Kasten impacted the game in a variety of ways from the wing position. Able to operate as the ball handler in pick and roll situations and turn the corner to beat the hedge defense, Kasten showed patience and used his length to extend at the rim and finish. Being guarded by smaller wings, Kasten found success running the floor and catching it on the block and scoring at the basket. In the second half with the Illinois Wolves 16 U group looking to extend their lead, Kasten came from out of nowhere for a monster chase down blocked shot. Impressive all around performance from him on Friday evening in a win.

A versatile wing who showcased a polished offensive game. Knocked down perimeter shots with a smooth, pure release, squaring up consistently and proving himself as a reliable floor spacer. Showed creativity finishing, including a slick reverse baseline move, and attacked off the catch with confidence. Also contributed on the glass with quick bounce and strong hands, often tying up the ball in scrappy plays. Defensively, his lateral quickness and activity give him real three-and-D potential, while his ability to cut lanes and find teammates on drives adds to his overall impact.

In the full game we saw Kasten play he was the best player and prospect on the floor by a mile.  At 6’5” the wing is an elite shooter especially pulling up from beyond the arc where he put in feathery threes one after another.  Such an easy shooting stroke.  Showed bounce handling it for multiple reverse layups at the cup.  Solid passer.  Also like what he brought defensively getting a jump ball on a tie up, several blocks including an LBJ swat, and staying in front of his man.
