Here is a recap of the top athletes I saw from The EXPO: Illinois.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125660' first='Lamari' last='Carpenter'] Glenbard North 2027

One of the top players in the class that showed out at the Expo. He drove the baseline a few times and got up on the rim. Carpenter is a blur in the open court and players who know him are aware they need to get out of the way when he's coming down the lane with a head of steam. Lamari can fill it up as a scorer from three levels also making him a prospect many schools will look to recruit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125619' first='Dshaun' last='Bolden'] Oswego East 2027

A lot of Bolden's game was generated from his athleticism and making plays above the rim. He had several lane-clearing dunks that brought more eyes to his court. Dshaun plays with a continuous motor and isn't afraid to battle on the offensive glass with his quick second jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2915369' first='Noah' last='Cook'] Crystal Lake South 2027 6'6

Cook was an unknown to me coming into the camp. Bouncy wing player who had several dunks that made me wonder how we got to his junior year and didn't know anything about this prospect. To add to his athleticism he shot the ball very well from three showing he is consistent in both facets of the game. Cook has the top 30 talent in his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125608' first='Dawson' last='Charles'] St. Viator 2027

Charles is a hybrid of a power two-foot jumping wing and an improving shooter from the perimeter. Dawson at 6'2 he is dangerous when he gets space to drive and tries to tear off the rim. On defense he uses his athleticism to contest shots and crash the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552408' first='TJ' last='Williams'] Bolingbrook 2026

A sleeper in the class TJ has college level athleticism that he showed at the Expo. Good length and agility to play passing lanes help turned several steals into fastbreak dunks. As a 6'4 guard he should garner the attention from some Division 2 schools and potentially low Major Division 1's.
