Sneakers For Santa Shootout Preview – Part Three

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the must-attend events each year, the annual Sneakers For Santa Shootout has announced their seven game lineup for 2025. In total there will be 20+ Division I prospects, seven nationally ranked prospects, top ranked in-state prospects in the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes, and 14 excellent teams. Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground coverage throughout the December 6th shootout at Brownsburg High School. Now that the lineup has been announced let's dive into a way too early preview of the field.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Male (KY) vs. Pike</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The lone out-of-state team competing in this year's Sneakers For Santa Shootout is Male High School out of Louisville, Kentucky. Their star player, Western Kentucky commit Cole Edelen, transferred to Overtime Elite, but Class of 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2360949' first='Trey' last='Hillerich'] gives the Bulldogs a very talented 6'9" interior presence. They will be going up against, arguably, the most talented team in the state of Indiana. Hill, Miller, and the younger Lampley are all nationally ranked prospects. Vernon (Fortville) team against a Fishers squad that is 59-2 over the course of the last two seasons. Ertel was an Indiana Junior All-Star averaging 22.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game last year. The Top 50 national prospect and Purdue commit will give the Marauders a chance in every single game this season. In this matchup he will be going up against one of the best backcourts in the country.
