As a, nearly, lifelong resident of east central Indiana the many small towns and rural lifestyle have a special place in my heart. Obviously, I try to never play favorites and generally care equally about every team and prospect in the great state of Indiana. However, admittedly, there is always a soft spot for those from my general neck of the woods. In this article we will highlight six prospects from the general east central Indiana area, which generally is a bit under represented on a statewide basis, that college coaches should know about.

The top returning scorer for Delta High School this season, Bragg should have a chance to improve on his 10.0 points per game average as a senior. A 5'10" guard capable of playing both on or off of the ball, he has proven himself as one of the top shooters in the area. Last season he shot 57-151 (37.7%) from three-point range. That shooting ability can help to make up for some of what he may lack in physical size. Bragg has the shot-making and skill level to find a place to play at the next level.

From a statistical perspective, few shooters in the state of Indiana bring back the level of production that this 5'11" guard saw as a junior. Coffey led Shenandoah High School in scoring at 15.4 points per game while connecting on 80-182 (44.0%) of his three-point shot attempts. His ability to stretch the floor and put constant pressure on the defense well beyond the perimeter is true game-changer. Some small college programs have shown initial interest in Coffey and should continue to garner more interest throughout his senior season.

A long, athletic, 6'3" wing, Feist had a breakout junior season for Seton Catholic averaging 13.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in a much expanded varsity role. His ability to attack the basket, elevate to finish, and rebound on both ends of the floor made him a do-it-all sort of two-way piece for the Cardinals. Feist will likely be asked to do even more now as a senior and could put up some big time numbers in east central Indiana.

Despite missing over half of his junior season due to an ACL tear sustained in football, Hollendonner will have a chance to go down as the all-time leading scorer in Centerville High School history. The 6'2" wing averaged 17.3 points as a freshman, 23.0 points as a sophomore, and then 15.0 points in 10 games after returning from injury as a junior. Centerville should be a Top 10 team in Class 2A this season and Hollendonner's physicality and consistent production around the basket will be a big part of their success.

We had the opportunity to see Loring and Eastern Hancock High School play at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June and came away very imrpessed. Like several of these top east central Indiana prospects, Loring won't wow you with his physical measurables. However, he is an explosive athlete who gets excellent elevation on his jump shot and can rise up to finish at the end of his drives. He averaged 13.2 points per game as a junior and could really breakout as one of the top players in the area as a senior. Loring was 40-109 (36.7%) from three-point range last season.

Already a three-year varsity standout, Watterson will be one of the top players in east central Indiana this season. The 6'3" hybrid wing/forward averaged 13.2 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as a junior. He is a capable three-point shooter, but really excels using his strength and athleticism to score around the basket. Look for a big season out of him at Union County High School.
