High School Spotlight: Lawrence North Wildcats

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. When it comes to the in-state 2026 class, Miller has been a top 10 player all his high career and one of the best power forwards in the state. He returns as the leading scorer/rebounder from a season ago averaging 13.4 points and 8.6 rebounds. Webster will return as the guy in the backcourt for the Wildcats and will step into that primary ball handler role. He is coming off a real strong summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] showing off his scoring and playmaking ability. He returns 7.4 points and 4.8 assists from his junior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2141013' first='KJ' last='Jones']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/landon-lampley/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With so many roles on this team up for grabs, many players could make a case as a potential breakout player for Lawrence North. One guy that we know will step into a more important spot on this season is junior small forward [player_tooltip player_id='2141013' first='KJ' last='Jones']. Jones is a 6'6 wing that only appeared in 8 games at varsity level last season, but could be placed in a starting role for the Wildcats this year. A stock-riser in the 2027 class, Jones has athletic and physical tools that translate into the next level rebounds, plays above the rim, slashes off the ball, and is just really consistent around the rim.
