Brandon Ramsey | Prep Hoops Scout
Jones has transferred from Lawrence North to Warren Central High School for his junior season. He had a very productive summer for Progeny 16u on the UA Rise Circuit and that carried over into Saturday’s Showcase. The 6’5″ hybrid wing/forward is such a versatile weapon on both ends of the floor. He is a talented straight line driver and can really shine in transition. Defensively, Jones can guard just about every position on the floor and is effective as a rebounder. He should be among the better players at Warren Central this season.

- Highly athletic, stock-riser, plays off bounce well, great size on wing, makes plays off the dribble, great physical tools out of a wing, slashes off the ball, great on glass.

In terms of athletic and physical tools there weren’t many prospects from the state of Indiana built like Jones at UAA Session II/UA Rise Session I in Hamilton, Ohio. The 6’5″ forward is a very good rebounder on both ends of the floor with the ability to elevate and go get the ball above the fray. Offensively he is a slasher and straight line driver who can dominate the offensive glass. Already ranked just outside the Top 50 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings, Jones flashed the potential over the weekend that has always kept us intrigued.

, who comes from Lawrence North High School. Listed at 5-foot-5, Jones is very athletic wing that has length to play both on the wing and inside around the paint. While he did not get a ton of run with Lawrence North last season, his time to produce is coming up starting this season and he has shown what he can bring with how well he has been for Progeny 16u. We really like his long term potential on the wing.

The 6’5 small forward out of Lawrence North was one of the more impressive players I watched on Friday night at Havoc in the Heartland. He is very athletic wing that has length to play both on the wing and inside around the paint. Around the paint is where he is most comfortable right now on both ends scoring through contact while also being a solid shot blocker. Like his overall toughness.

With all of the talent at Lawrence North High School right now it might still be a year before we really start to hear his name more. However, we at Prep Hoops Indiana are early buyers of Jones’ stock. The 6’5″ wing has obvious physical and athletic tools that establish some intriguing upside. He is an effective finisher at the end of his drives, a very good rebounder, and can be a versatile defender across nearly every position. Don’t be surprised when he really breaks out at some point down the road. We were here to tell you first!

Talked about him in my Sunday article. Still unsure if he’s more of a guard or forward long-term, but I love the physical tools at his disposal. Probably around 6’4”, displayed numerous strong drives to the hoop. Finishing well through contact in addition to a good FT rate. Solid post-play in addition to that.

12 points off the bench in the opening half vs Ramblers. Only 15, but already has the tools to match up with college-level players. Made plays both as a SG and F. Strong first step attacking the rim while also displaying strong post-moves down low. Got to the line a ton in this game. Kept plays alive with numerous second-chance opportunities in the 2nd half. Scored 18 pts.
