Delta is known for playing a methodical style and they typically win with a defense-first mentality. That was certainly true once again on Monday night. However, Bragg provides a needed scoring punch for the Eagles. The talented senior guard was hot out of the gate and went on to score a game-high 15 points as host Delta defeated Jennings County 60-41 to move to the championship game of their holiday tournament.

The top returning scorer for Delta High School this season, Bragg should have a chance to improve on his 10.0 points per game average as a senior. A 5’10” guard capable of playing both on or off of the ball, he has proven himself as one of the top shooters in the area. Last season he shot 57-151 (37.7%) from three-point range. That shooting ability can help to make up for some of what he may lack in physical size. Bragg has the shot-making and skill level to find a place to play at the next level.

Delta making it through Sectional 24 wasn’t necessarily a big surprise, but cutting down the nets in the Regional round with a win over Blackhawk Christian would definitely be considered an upset. Bragg has been the third leading scorer on a very balanced Eagles squad averaging 9.9 points while shooting a team-best 55-141 (39.0%) from three-point range.
