In addition to those schools, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Arizona State, Dayton and New Mexico are other notable programs to offer Tyson this summer. Incredibly productive for both Lakota West and Phenom United 16 U, Tyson has excellent physical tools that are used on both ends of the court. Splashing into the national rankings this summer, Tyson has been one of the top players in Ohio for a while and is currently on a sharp upward trajectory.

Curry has been one of the most notable prospects in Ohio's 2027 class, staying inside the top 10 of our rankings since they debuted back in the spring of 2024. Curry had himself an excellent summer with consistent two-way impact by using his athleticism, length, strength and perimeter shooting to help his team win. Curry's combo of vertical explosiveness and strength makes him a tough player to stop in transition with numerous alley-oop dunks in transition from this summer. Curry also knocked down shots with his feet set, a key skill on a Phenom United team that had numerous players who could get downhill and score at the rim. Four MAC schools offered Curry this summer with Toledo, Akron, Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan. Curry has been one of Ohio's hottest prospects this summer and will look to carry over that momentum during the OHSAA season.

A prospect who was on the verge of blowing up down in Rock Hill, Aborowa ended the summer with three Division I offers from Youngstown State, Ut Chattanooga and Alcorn State, but if Aborowa would've stayed healthy in Rock Hill I think he had a good chance of doubling that list. Aborowa has tremendous defensive upside with the amount of ground he can cover on that end of the court combined with his length. Aborowa also rebounds the basketball well and can start the break with grab and go opportunities off defensive rebounds. Aborowa can also play as a secondary rim protector and was essentially a small ball center for Midwest Basketball Club 16 U before his injury. Unique wing with a high ceiling on both ends of the floor.

Making his debut in the rivals national rankings last month, Cornett is starting to scratch the surface of his natural ability. A state champion last season with Westerville North, Cornett will go from a starter to a team leader in the backcourt beside fellow 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140886' first='Tyson' last='Perkins']. This winter will be an interesting one to monitor for Cornett as defenses will now be keying in on trying to stop him at the top of the scouting report. Cornett will get the necessary reps to expand his offensive game and show what he can do with the ball in his hands.

Gill battled an injury that kept him out for a majority of June basketball with Cincinnati Princeton. That time might've been beneficial for the Vikings to go through some tough opponents without Gill and relying on new faces to step up. Thankfully for Gill he was healthy in time for Rock Hill with Wildcat Select 16 U where he had a tremendous weekend to help them advance to the semifinals. Gill has a strong frame and is one of the best athletes in Ohio's 2027 class. His improved efficiency from 3-point range was the biggest reason why he moved up in our rankings and why schools like USF have already offered him.
