Lewis was lights out at the Hillsdale Elite Camp! He's really come into his own as a player. Lewis was smooth and athletic, but not just around the rim. His feet looked good and he looked comfortable when the ball hit his hands, even on the perimeter. Lewis could be seen hitting a couple jumpers to go with his aggressive and attacking style.

Simpson has had my eye for a month now. I just really like the direction that his game is going in. The first thing that I noticed was his jumper during drill work. I don't know make and miss numbers, but I do know that he continues to look way more comfortable than during high school season. Simpson did a good job rebounding high and trying to control the glass.

VanderWaal was excellent at the Hillsdale Elite Camp. He showed that his game is extending from the post. He's so much more than a sturdy post defender now. In fact, he's showing a very high and very exciting ceiling. I liked the way he got out in the open floor and was able to finish on the move. VanderWaal did dominate inside as well, one time going up and literally stealing a rebound and turning it into a second chance bucket.

File this one in the under the radar drawer. Sands didn't dominate the camp or throw up huge numbers, but those things don't tell the complete story. Sands had a repeatable jumper that was always lined up and smooth, especially from the mid range. It wasn't just his jumper that was disciplined, it was his entire game. Sands was a physically strong player with a next level frame.

O'Mara and I seem to have linked schedules over the last month. He was impressive once again. O'Mara, even at a talented event like this, so often has a size and strength advantage over opposing wings. Then you combine that with watching him bury jumpers and you realize what a mismatch he really is.
