He scored relatively easily with his back to the basket. Impressive? Yes. But even more impressive was the fact that he recognized the mismatch and attacked it repeatedly. Boike can shoot, we've known that for a long time. But it was his defense and athleticism that stood out most to me. Boike kept a really good defensive base and his feet looked 1 step ahead. He was really good as a disciplined threat on both ends of the floor. I really liked his unselfishness and decision making at the event. Murphy was able to put defenders on his hip off the bounce and touch paint with the ball in his hands. Similar to Murphy above, that's just what Berg did. He hit his spots with the pass and got them there on time. Berg was especially effective using the bounce pass to both feed the paint and hit cutters. He looked like he can be a legitimate threat to score at all 3 levels. Schembechler cut hard to the rim, caught the pass with strong hands, and finished at the rim. He then hit a nice catch and shoot triple. Schembechler even put his back to the basket and went to work earning a bucket. The young man just plays really hard and I could see him having a ton of success next high school season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
