Game-Changers at Mike James Top 60 Boys Camp

It was an exciting week at Grant High School in Portland, OR. Sponsored by Adidas, Mike James and company hosted the Top 60 Boys Camp. Let's recap who stood out amongst the talent and rising stars.    [player_tooltip player_id='2026057' first='Braylon' last='Gaines'] from Nelson continues to shine over the summer, as he had an impressive performance in the Mike James Top 60 Boys Camp. Braylon stands out amongst his peers because he is one of the hardest-working players in the gym. He isn't afraid to make contact with his opponents. His moves to attack the rim are like poetry in motion. He can easily drive hard and then float in the air with some impressive hang time. It's his ability to change direction so smoothly that he leaves opponents scrambling to catch him. Braylon is extremely good at getting to the free-throw line.   Braylon is a sharp shooter and quick on defense.  He's a great communicator and leader out on the court.  It is his leadership that helps his teammates know where to be at the right time during games. Be on the lookout for this Nelson rising star.  He is the complete program package.  There's no doubt he is going to continue to shine this season in basketball.      [player_tooltip player_id='2910085' first='Kaidence' last='Lee'] is a rising star from Jefferson, and he performed well at the Mike James top 60 camp. As an incoming freshman, there's no secret that he has a lot of talent. Kaidence is coming off of an extremely successful season with the Mike James Elite program team. He spent his summer traveling and winning an impressive number of tournaments all over the nation. The nephew of Portland's veteran star, Mike Lee, and his hard work helped him take their team to nationals.   Kaidence comes from a long family history of star athletes in Portland. His father, mother, and uncle, all shined as star athletes in the community. It's no wonder Kaidence has incredible abilities and athleticism out on the court and on the football field.   Kaidence is a strong guard and can shoot the ball well. He's super fast up and down the floor, with a cool swagger that's earned him the nickname “Fresh”. Could Portland have a new prince in town? Be on the lookout for [player_tooltip player_id='2910085' first='Kaidence' last='Lee']. There's no doubt about it, he is impacting the city and shining in multiple sports.     [player_tooltip player_id='2026871' first='Darius' last='Andrews'] is a strong point guard out of Centennial High School. He has great size at 6'3”, and a strong, muscular build. He's able to blow by defenders with speed, and it's hard to stop his powerful force. He is a fearless competitor with a lot of heart, hard wor,k and determination.   Darius is great at drawing contact and attacking the rim. His defense is strong, and he's able to stand tall over his opponents to block shots and grab rebounds. He stood out right away at the Mike James Top 60 Camp.   Darius is a team player and has a friendly demeanor on and off the court. He's not afraid to go the distance for his peers. If someone falls behind or falls down, he's there to lift them back up physically and mentally. Darius possesses strong leadership skills and qualities. There's no doubt that a bright and successful season is in this star's future.     [player_tooltip player_id='2910109' first='Garrett' last='Jensen'] is another star athlete on the Mike James Elite travel team for Portland. He stood out at the top 60 camp with his strong point guard abilities. Garrett is an excellent passer. Some may even compare him to NBA legends like John Stockton. He may not be the tallest player on the court, but he has great court vision and can handle the rock well.   Garrett is a sharp shooter and is known for knocking down three-point shots and hitting clutch buckets down the stretch. He's a great leader on the floor and can create plays under pressure.   As a rising freshman from Central Catholic, be on the lookout for [player_tooltip player_id='2910109' first='Garrett' last='Jensen']. He will definitely shine in his years to come for the Rams.     [player_tooltip player_id='2539808' first='Ter'rae' last='Foster'] is a dynamic shooter who can heat up quickly and knock down shots. He stood out at the Mike James Top 60 and won the offensive player of the week award. In one game, Ter'rae scored over 20 points in a quick 4-minute span.   This rising star out of Gresham High School has proven to be one of the most clutch shooters in his class. He can perform well under pressure. He's not afraid to hustle and go after the ball hard on defense because he's eager to score on offense.   Don't let his size fool you. Ter'rae is making an impact in the city and standing out amongst his peers. His high level of IQ on the court will help him excel against opponents. Watch out for Ter'rae, he is a force to be recognized this upcoming season.     Rounding out the week at Mike James Top 60 Camp is star player [player_tooltip player_id='2026488' first='Kingston' last='Paschal']. He earned himself the defensive player of the week award.   Kingston is an extremely hard worker on the court. He shines both offensively and defensively. To stand out amongst his peers and wear the crown of defensive best this week was not an easy task. There was such top talent in the gym; what an honor to be able to lead the way in locking up opponents.   Kingston is a talented athlete and leader on the basketball team at Jefferson High School. He is humble in his demeanor, but has tenacious grit out on the court. Be on the lookout for him this next season to carry his team far.
