It's hard to believe but [player_tooltip player_id='1582927' first='Adrian' last='Montague'] is heading into his final year of high school basketball. The rising senior point guard known to most as "Fuzzy" hopes to finish off his high school career on top, and will be doing so at a new location. But before the dynamic playmaker is to arrive on campus, he spent the off-season getting ready, playing high-level club basketball with a brand new team - and it brought out the desired results.

"I played with Beauchamp this year and it was pretty good," Montague said. "Our team was switching up a lot, but we were just trying to get through it and play as good as we can just to get offers, it's our last year, trying to get scholarships and looks. I played pretty good. I feel like I could have been more aggressive again, but this year I've been focused on being more aggressive, being more dominant and I felt like I did that."

Schools paid notice to Montague's play. He's garnered offers from Portland, San Jose State, Seattle, UC Davis, and UC Santa Barbara, and other schools such as Pepperdine have showed interest as well. He's looking forward to making some campus visits this fall.

"I'm going to my business this year, going to go to a couple of schools and then probably before the season or after the season, I think I'm going to commit," Montague said. "I kind of just want to go off a feel. I'd like a family, more realistic, just because I know people have tendencies to where they would act. I want to feel the connection to the coaches at least."

While it remains to be seen whether or not he decides early, one thing that appears to be certain is he's heading to Parkrose for his senior season. He played with the Broncos and their revamped roster this June, and there's no hesitancy in his response when you ask him what they are capable of doing as well as what his role will be.

"I feel like we're definitely going to win - our team is just too dominant," Montague said. "[player_tooltip player_id='2026486' first='Keone' last='Gates'], he's too dominant, he's too aggressive and people can't stop that. Keion James as well, he's probably going to be the reason that we win. Muhammad Carter and [player_tooltip player_id='2026056' first='Varryk' last='Hardges'], just that five in general, I just don't think we can be stopped. I'm going to be a pure leader, and then being aggressive, being able to assert my dominance, because I feel like at this point, can't nobody stop me. So I just got to show that and continue to show that, get me a ring this year."

Montague currently ranks as the #2 player in the PrepHoops Oregon Class of 2026 rankings.
