The summer has concluded and over a handful of live periods, members from the Class of 2027 got a chance to make an impression on college coaches in attendance. A number of these players turned some heads and in some cases it has resulted in an uptick in their college recruitment. Here's a quick look at some of the top stock risers from next year's junior class this summer.

Impressing observers equally on the AAU circuit with Select Basketball and in June with his Southridge teammates was Thompson, who exhibited tremendous leadership and all-around play on both ends of the floor. There's not much the rising junior couldn't do as he hit open shots and got to the basket, consistently looked for open teammates, and locked down on defense. It's puzzling how he's yet to get his first scholarship offer but we're confident the scales will be tipped in his favor soon.

Leunen continues to grow physically and the rising junior showed improved strength in the paint and more development with his outside shooting and ability to attack from the perimeter in both playing AAU ball with Elite 24 and with his Ridgeview High School squad. An area where we noticed more improvement was with his work on the boards, bearing resemblance to the game of his father and coach Maarty during his playing days.

Due for a major jump in the rankings is Williams, who not only excelled with [program_tooltip program_id='2736879' first='Team' last='Progress'] on the AAU circuit but did so playing up an age group. The rising junior remains a lockdown on-the-ball defender and on the offensive end, his ability to catch fire is special. We won't soon forget the second half barrage of points he put on the board for Jesuit in the finals of the Wilsonville Tournament as it was truly one of those you had to have been there kind of moments.

Up to this point for various reasons, Isham hasn't been able to show what he's capable of at the high school level. But this summer both with Sprague and club ball, the 6-foot-7 rising junior was able to turn some heads and show off some of his vast potential. He showed that he could not only score confidently in the paint but also step out and be a perimeter threat either with his shot or off the bounce. Defensively, he was a shot-blocking factor as well.

Another rising junior that's bound to see his numbers significantly increase is Rea. This summer the North Medford wing was able to showcase his athleticism and aggressiveness on the offensive end, as he used his speed, quickness, and strength to overpower defenders going to the hoop. The lefty is capable of hitting open shots too and at Oregon Team Camp, his pull-up jumper was nasty. Rea plays with toughness and a win-first attitude that's infectious.
