Putting a show on himself on Sunday at WIBCA was Williams. In their first game in the morning against Colony (AK), the rising senior guard absolutely caught fire with his jumper, especially in the second half, and when the dust settled Williams had knocked down 8 threes and scored a game-high 38 points. There’s very little defenses can do once he gets going from the field and when defenses tighten up on him from beyond the arc, he simply uses his strength and quickness to slice through the defense and get to the cup. Since returning from the event, Williams recently announced his first college offer from Southern Oregon.
There is something about the gym at Wilsonville that Williams loves because for the second summer in a row he was near unstoppable. In Jesuit’s opening round game against Centennial, the rising senior guard wasn’t necessarily hitting from three but got his mid-range and game going to the hoop in gear, drawing and absorbing all sorts of contact and converting the resulting free throw opportunities. Add on 5 rebounds and 3 assists to his 16 points and it was just the start of a great tournament for Williams, one in which he led the Crusaders to a second-straight title.

is a strong junior point guard who makes a big impact with his scoring ability and command of the floor. A true shooter, Williams is someone defenders simply can’t afford to leave open, as he consistently found ways to get himself clean looks. He’s also a dangerous slasher, using his strength and smooth handle to attack the lane and keep defenses on their heels. As a floor general, Williams controled the tempo of the game, showed confidence with the ball in his hands, and uses his ball-handling to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. He finished with 21 points.
Williams is a lightning-quick guard who thrives on competition and plays with great energy. He’s shifty with the ball, can elevate well, and scores at all three levels—knocking down shots from the outside, pulling up confidently in the mid-range, and attacking the rim with ease. Williams consistently gets to the free-throw line and finished with 19 points, highlighting his aggressive, well-rounded offensive game.

Due for a major jump in the rankings is Williams, who not only excelled with Team Progress
on the AAU circuit but did so playing up an age group. The rising junior remains a lockdown on-the-ball defender and on the offensive end, his ability to catch fire is special. We won’t soon forget the second half barrage of points he put on the board for Jesuit in the finals of the Wilsonville Tournament as it was truly one of those you had to have been there kind of moments.
After playing freshman ball last season, Williams has been playing varsity and excelling as one of Jesuit’s double-digit scorers this season. A solid shooter – as you would expect from the son of Benson/Oregon legend Orlando Williams – he’s also been effective using his athleticism to get to the rim off the bounce. An extremely explosive player, he’s been able to make a huge impact coming off the bench for the Crusaders. (+16 from #29 to #13)
As the season has progressed, Williams has started to have a larger role within the Jesuit offense and that continued at the LSI. A big part of it is how efficient the sophomore guard with his shooting, and over the four games he shot .600 from the field – both from two and three-point range. His presence on the second unit has given the Crusaders a big lift.
