From the first time we saw McGrain play, we could tell he was the proverbial “gamer”. The 5-foot-8 guard played the game with grit and toughness, and was a shot-maker all-weekend long. The rising junior displayed he had the clutch gene too hitting a game-winning three on the second day against Team Together.
One of the better shooters from the 16U division, the Oregon Premier
guard was able to hit from all levels, splashing in 3s, showing some good footwork in the midrange off the bounce, and had the quick moves and balance to knife inside and create problems. Worked his way to the line a decent amount and converted those opportunities.
