Tatum was the 2A player of the year and how could he not be, he brought Simla its first state title since 1987 as the leading scorer and that was as a sophomore. His numbers were even more impressive. He put up 21 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.8 blocks a game. He's a 6'5 do it all wing that scores from all 3 levels. He is unstoppable in that smaller classification and has stepped out and put up strong performances in grassroots against elite teams across the state and country as well to show that he's a standout that produces on both ends of the floor. He was ranked No. 18 last go round and jumps into the Top 10 with a strong performance. Can he get higher with another monster showing in his junior year is the question?

Noah is a player who dominated during the high school season, putting up a monster stat line of 18.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game to showcase his offensive ability. He scores from anywhere that he wants in the paint, and they make sure to feed the big man, but he also uses his length to go get boards and finish over the top as well. He catches the ball, finishes with either hand, and has a back-to-the-basket game. He also goes up for dunks through or over defenders. Defensively, he's a paint protector as well. He put up 2.6 rebounds a game as well, which made opponents second-guess trying to go into the paint on him. He was No. 19 last time around and sits just outside the Top 10. He has strong momentum to jump into the Top 10 with a stellar summer.

There might not be many better scorers than Mielenz in the entire state than what we've been seeing from him as of late. We've seen him score over 30 points on multiple occasions and also 50 points in the Tuneup last week. He led his team to a state title runner-up after putting up 14 points a game as a sophomore and has been scoring ablaze ever since. He's a lethal shooter with range, can get to his spots and finish. He also reads double teams and makes smart reads. He made All-State as a sophomore and will be coming for vengeance. He was at No. 20 last go round and sits right outside the Top 10. With a huge year, with plenty of eyes on him , I am sure that he will continue to rise.

Connors is a player that we did not know too much about, but watching film from him last year and his continued growth and wanting to compete with the state's best this summer, it is evident that he's a true competitor who belongs. He averaged 12.5 points per game as a sophomore. He shot 36 percent from behind the arc and showed that he could pick up the scoring load. This summer, it was about showcasing the rest of his game as he stood out as a two-way defender who could be a playmaker, defend at a high level, and shoot the ball well, which he did. He was ranked 45 in the class last go-round, but jumps 10 spots higher. If he's able to show that this summer wasn't a fluke and take it into the year, he'll undoubtedly continue to rise.

Standley Lake was one of the surprise teams last year that took the state by storm. They had a complete team with a star big man and stellar guard play. Amongst those guards was true point guard Titus. Titus put up an impressive 12.1 points and 4.6 assists a game. He pushed the pace, found open teammates, and played unselfishly all year. When his team needed a timely basket, he delivered, and when they needed him to make the right plays, he did just that. He also got after it defensively as he put up 3.6 steals a game, which was amongst the top averages in the state. He plays hard on both ends, battles, and is a leader on the floor, and they will need more of that this upcoming season as well. He was at 51 this last go round and jumps more than 10 spots.

Aubuchon put up good averages as a sophomore on a competitive and entertaining Vikings squad, but it was his play this summer that turned heads for us. He's playing at an elite level, and if he is able to continue that into next season, watch out, City League. He moves well, breaks defenders down in isolation, and gets to where he wants on the floor. He scores from all three levels, and I expect him to make a huge jump in points per game this season as North remains competitive in their conference. He's a player who will surely turn heads, so we wanted to get ahead of the curve here. He was at No. 67 last go round and jumps over 20 spots in this set of rankings.

Jax is a guard who brings energy to the floor and provides his team with a spark when they need it. He uses his athleticism on both ends of the floor, runs the floor well, and finishes in transition. Jax rebounds well for his size and is not afraid to get in there and compete. He also had a stretch last year where he was playing really well and they want him to show that consistency if they want to make some noise this year. Jax has the chance to be a workhorse defender that pushes opponents into turnovers, rebounds and can push the tempo. He was at No 61 last go round and jumps up 15 spots to show that he belongs. Excited to see him compete this season.
