While you lock that in, we're shifting our focus to one of the strongest classes in the state — a group that's primed for major movement over the next few years. Hot starts have launched new names into the spotlight, while others are still building toward their breakthrough. This class is far from settled, and the board is already shifting. Here are some prospects who jumped into the rankings from the watch list in the 2028 rankings.

At the break, this 6'6 combo guard is in the Top-20 scorers in the entire class, and his numbers are impressive. He's averaging 16.2 points and 8.8 rebounds a game. He's had double figures in every game with explosive games of 25 points and 20 points, including double-doubles in those games. He's a three-level scorer who is shooting 50% from beyond the arc on solid volume. He looks comfortable, on the floor, checks off a ton of boxes and is a player who will continue to grow. He jumps from the watch list onto the rankings this go-round and is a player to watch.

Poudre is going to be a fun team to watch next year and the year after, and one of the big reasons for that is that they have a solid underclass group. Their best player has been a sophomore, Leaf. Leaf is a 6'4 do-it-all forward who has lit it up. He keeps them in games, he battles inside and also has an inside-out game. Leaf hits the 3-ball, finishes inside, and gets out and runs in transition. He's putting up 13.4 points and 4.7 rebounds a game, has had games where he's impacted the game on the defensive end of the floor, and checks a ton of boxes. He's a player to watch and a prospect that we hope to see at camps, showcases and tourneys to gauge just how solid he is. He jumps into the rankings after spending time on the watch list.

Unsure if you've seen our team rankings on our homepage, but the No.2 team in the entire state through the numbers has been Montezuma-Cortez. Their best player has been Lang. He's been one of the biggest surprises in the entire state. Lang is averaging 17.3 points a game and has his team sitting at 6-0 on the year. He's the primary ball handler, due to being the top scorer, and while all of the defense's attention is on him, he still finds ways to get everyone else involved. He's averaging 3.3 assists a game and, reading what defenses are giving him, hunting shots, and his 3.0 steals a game have shown he's involved defensively but turning into easy baskets for himself as well. He jumps from the watch list and into the rankings for the first time, and it's a testament to the hard work he's put in and progress made. We've never written about a player from Montezuma-Cortez, so he's broken that barrier with his play.

Nelson jumps off the watch list and into the rankings with his play through 6 games. He's an inside force who plays with physicality, is a force on the boards, and understands what is asked of him on the floor. He's a confident inside scorer with solid size, and his work on the glass as of late has been one of the bright spots for the team. He's averaging 7.2 rebounds a game while offering consistency down low. He's a player who hasn't gotten much attention but is rising.

Arrupe Jesuit is not a team that has gotten a ton of attention, but they're an interesting team with solid guard play. A guard who has been bringing it for two straight seasons and is having another solid outing is guard, [player_tooltip player_id='2697367' first='Manuel' last='Loya']. Loya is putting up 14 points a game. They're playing interesting teams and battling; he's making decisive decisions with the ball in his hands and can score with the best of them. Loya has put up double figures in all but one game, he turning guards over, and has multiple games where he has 7 steals and looks to attack. He's a player we hope to see get out to a camp of tournament of ours this summer so we can get a deeper look at him, but he jumps into the rankings from the WL with his play.
