While you lock that in, we're shifting our focus to one of the strongest classes in the state — a group that's primed for major movement over the next few years. Hot starts have launched new names into the spotlight, while others are still building toward their breakthrough. This class is far from settled, and the board is already shifting. Here are some of the top risers in the 2028 rankings.

There aren't many athletic 6'7 athletes just walking around out here, so when you see one, you want them to stand out. Well, that's exactly what Teter has been doing out at Cotopaxi. He has a high ceiling and has had some monster games already for the year. He's put up 3 monster double-doubles already on the year, like when he finished with 22 points and 18 rebounds, or 10 points, 24 rebounds, and 6 assists in a win against Primero. He protects the paint and refuses to allow easy scoring opportunities at the basket. We want to see him be a bit more aggressive offensively as his team will need him to dominate down low. But he's a player who should be getting a bit more attention, and we have eyes on him.

Wheat Ridge has gotten off to a rocky start in the 2nd half of the season, but, look to turn things around, and a bright spot that they'll need to take it up a notch is sophomore standout [player_tooltip player_id='2916886' first='Leif' last='Wilson']. Wilson has been the team's leading scorer, and he's has some breakout games that make us believe that there's even more to his game. He's a playmaking facilitator who balances getting teammates open and scoring. He's a solid passer who can also lock down defensively, turn guys over, and be impactful on both ends of the floor. He's putting up 11.2 points, 3.7 assists, and steals a game and looks to rise even more.

Eagle Valley is off to a hot start, and [player_tooltip player_id='2833663' first='Daniel' last='Anderson'] is leading the way. Anderson is putting up 12.1 points a game. The 6'5 big had success on the gridiron and has brought that toughness to the hardwood and has been just as successful. Opposing teams are having a difficult time containing him, and he's been efficient down low. He sets hard screens and rolls to the basket. He has elite hand-eye coordination and catches it and goes right up. He's also a force on the glass. He's putting up 12 points and 7.4 rebounds a game. He's protecting the paint and denying touches, and we see that with his 2.6 steals and 2 blocks a game as well. This is the first time that he makes our rankings. He's a name to know moving forward and a prospect that has that team in a position to make a push.

Eagle Valley looks like they'll be the top team in the 5A Western Slopes, and one of the underclassmen who has been holding it down over there is Shreeve. Shreeve has filled the box sheet for a team that sits at 7-2 on the year. He's putting up 9.6 points and 5.6 rebounds a game. He's a three-level scorer who plays within the flow of the offense. He rotates the ball and moves without the ball, but takes over at times. He has also been a solid defender who's averaging 2 steals as well. He's the team's X-factor and pushes them to be a dynamic team. He's a prospect to know, and he jumps into the rankings with his work in the first half of the season.

Littleton is looking to get back on the right foot to finish off the season and has needed some offense to get them on the right track. A player who has had his moments has been sophomore guard, Bagal. Bagal is putting up 6.5 points and 4.1 rebounds a game. He can space the floor with his shooting, can take over ball handling duties, and makes good passes. He's coming off his best game of the year and looks to be in a rhythm right now. We want to see more of him, to allow him to rise a bit more, but he's gotten on our radar with his start.
