GRBA National Championships – 17u Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There was some high quality basketball to closeout the grassroots season over the weekend. The GRBA National Championships was a quality event in Ft. Wayne that featured some excellent talent at all levels. Horvath is a big time asset in the paint. He's big and strong enough to physically dominate on the block and under the rim. As I've said before, it's his feet that might impress me the most. Either way, if he gets downhill consistently, he's going to score and make plays. Watkins is too strong to allow a straight line drive. He scored from all 3 levels and showed that he can groove his jumper on his way to a 30 point game. Gugle's top highlight might have been a thunderous 1 handed fast break dunk. He just always found a way to make an impact. Lee was a strong rebounder that seemed to find high percentage looks at the rim. He's a versatile player. People were pointing him out to me and I got to see first hand. The young man can play. He moves well and has a strong frame.
