He used to play sort of like an undersized 4 just because he’s always been a vertical athlete. But Gugle has developed his game and he’s now a true wing that showed guard skills with the Midwest Stampede this summer.

Gugle could be in the article about guards or forwards, as he projects as a wing at the next level. Gugle saw much increased ball handling responsibilities and decision making this summer. He showed that he can do both – and still be that high flying athlete that throws down finishes above the rim. In 1 weekend this summer, he had over 10 assists working as the ball handler in the pick and roll, but then threw down a dunk that shook the gym floor.

Gugle is always 1 of the best pure athletes in the gym and that was the case again this weekend. He scored from all 3 levels and showed that he can groove his jumper on his way to a 30 point game. Gugle’s top highlight might have been a thunderous 1 handed fast break dunk. He might have been able to stick his forearm down the rim on that one.

Gugle was doing Gugle things at the Brawl For The Ball. I really like the way he’s becoming a true wing/guard and taking ball handling and passing responsibilities. This helps him become a dual threat player and therefore creates easier opportunities for him to attack the rim or get a clean look from outside.

Gugle is coming off a stellar weekend with the Midwest Stampede North at the NY2LA’s The Final Chapter. He showed off his elite athleticism, but really flaunted his passing ability. Gugle was effective handling the ball and playing off a screen and roll.
