It is the month of June which means there are multiple college camps for high school prospects to attend and one of the bigger ones took place this past Saturday down in Bloomington at Indiana University. The Prep Hoops Indiana crew was in attendance to catch the action and with that, we saw a ton of prospects with their respective high school teams. Here are a few standout players from Saturday at the IU Team Camp.

Kern came in as arguably the top player for this new look Bedford team and showed many reasons why he is the long term, go-to guy for the Stars. Super aggressive on the ball and made some tough plays in the lane. Longer frame at around 6'1-6'2 with good instincts and feel on the floor. Like his potential to be a consistent three level scorer this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2116874' first='Parker' last='Kern'] and Dax Short are BNL's top two players but the guy that made the most impact at times I felt was senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2869762' first='Ben' last='Conner']. Conner plays with an elite motor and made the extra effort plays that Bedford needed at many times. Really good giving the stars a presence in the paint, tough defense, and scoring through contact. He will be an underrated piece for them moving forward.

Dorion Bowen was the new guy in the gym this weekend that caught a ton of people's eyes, including mine. A Tennessee transfer to Evansville Bosse, it did not take long for Bowen to make his presence felt at the IU camp. Coming in with multiple D1 offers already, Bowen has all the athletic tools you want out of a player. Was extremely explosive around the rim and showed an ability to hit the jumper from time to time. Really interesting prospect with long term, high upside.

Coming back for the Bosse Bulldogs this summer is leading scorer from a season ago, [player_tooltip player_id='2172596' first='Marrius' last='Harris']. Harris is slowly getting on the radar of many coaches and people that follow state of Indiana basketball being one of the best players in the Evansville area. Very smooth guard that makes plays on the ball at a high rate and can knock down the outside jumper well. Just overall really productive in what he does.

One of the prospects that I was most excited to see as far as progression was Penn 2027 center [player_tooltip player_id='2140417' first='Makale' last='Price']. The 6'8 big man is stepping into a bigger role for the Kingsmen this season and based off the few games I watched from him, he looks like he can carry the front court for them. Has noticeably slimmed down and has a more athletic frame than the last time I saw him which allowed him to be extremely mobile in the paint. May not have been a better player at giving second chance points to a team than what I saw from Price.

While yes there were very many high level players at the IU Team Camp on Saturday, I do not honestly think there was a player that made me go "WOW" as much as what Bloomington North wing [player_tooltip player_id='2381200' first='Levi' last='Lindeman'] did. The progression that he has shown as a player overall was very fun to watch. He flew up and down the floor so well and made multiple plays at the rim, including one of the best dunks I saw on the day. He is a 6'6 wing with guard like skills, which make for a lethal combo. He impressed and will impress more people as the summer rolls on.

There is not other way around but to say that [player_tooltip player_id='2140349' first='Derrick' last='Cross Jr'] has a chance to be a very special player as his high school career continues to roll on. The combination of length, feel, shooting ability, and just being an overall playmaker on the ball makes him jump out. To touch on his shooting a bit more, his jumper is so smooth that every time he shoots it, it feels like it is going in. An athletic, long, and playmaker of a guard is hard to come by and this exactly what Cross Jr. is.
