Charlie Hughes Showcase: Kyler’s Player Notes Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There is no better event on the calendar from an evaluation or recruiting standpoint than the annual IBCA/IHSAA Charlie Hughes Showcase. This weekend, which is a live evaluation period for Division I college coaches, most of the best teams in the state of Indiana will descend on Carmel and Westfield High Schools for an absolutely excellent three days of basketball. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off to the final buzzer all weekend long. Here are some of my quick player notes from some guys that caught my attention over the weekend. The 6'0 guard was one of the more true combo guards that I saw and played so hard on the floor on both ends. I have only been able to see Bolden a handful of times and every time he impresses me with just how physical he is in the post. He is a guard with a strong build can use his power to split the defense in the lane. He plays like a glue guy at times and is pretty unselfish on the floor while also providing a good amount of scoring as well. The 5'11 lead guard is super quick on the ball and got downhill so often with his elite speed. We all knock just how great of a rebounder he is but I got to see more of his jumper over the weekend. The 6'4 big man had some of the better true fundamentals and footwork I saw out of any post player. Scores well through contact also.
