Logan’s Friday Live Period Morning Standouts

The Recruiting Live Period has officially gotten underway across the country where college coaches have flocked to gyms to see the future talent of college basketball. Players for all levels competing trying to impress coaches to earn a chance to play at the next level. Here are the morning standouts from Day One of the May Recruiting Live Period:    The smooth 2029 guard out of Cathedral had it going in a variety of different ways in [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 2029 EYBL first game of the live period. Plays at his own pace. Secure with the ball making really good decisions. Showed his scoring ability from all over the floor leading [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] with 21 points. One of the top guards in the 2029 Indiana Class will continue to make a name for himself.     An elite prospect out of Ohio, [player_tooltip player_id='2890897' first='Bryce' last='Irby'] got going early and often as [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 2029 EYBL rolled to victory in their first game of the live period. A long and athletic wing that showed his ability to score inside and out. Does a really good job playing on balance through drives and uses his athleticism to his length and athleticism to his advantage to explode to the rim and finish with authority. Also knocked down two early threes from the top of the key and made plays on the defensive end around the basket and in the passing lanes.     Heady point guard out of Ohio showed really good poise when running the offense. The lightning quick guard showed his court vision in the open floor while staying aggressive looking for his shot opportunities. Really good in the pick and roll. Drives hard and creates separation where he can knock down the midrange or hit the roll man. Only gotten to see him a hand full of time and was really impressed with his feel on the offensive end.     The athletic 6'6” 2027 Forward made his mark on the game early and often in Hoop Club 812 17u E32 win down in Dallas on the first day of the live period. He's active on both ends of the floor. Plays with an extremely high motor and consistently makes winning plays. Long and athletic forward showed he's capable of guarding multiple positions. He's a good rim protector and rebounder that can get from one end of the floor to the other in a hurry. Really nice small college prospect that continues to expand his offensive game.     There is a reason Beckham Black is considered arguably the top point guard in the country for the class of 2027. The elite playmaker had it all going in AB Elite's win over [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] earlier today. Strong frame guard that welcomes contact on drives and does a good job staying on balance. High level finisher at the rim while also being able to create for teammates and make any pass on the floor. Had a stretch in the second half where he showed off his shooting touch knocking down back to back three's in transition as well as finishing at the rim.     The recent Purdue Commit got going in the second half on both ends of the floor. Had a stretch where he showed his full potential on both ends of the floor with a blocked shot that led to a rim run and-one. Knocked down a deep corner jumper. A steal leading to a bucket. And another bucket and foul. Not many players in the country can impact the game quite like [player_tooltip player_id='2965213' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] when the motor is running hot. Special defensive talent that continues to blossom into really nice offensive skill set.
