Expert Analysis
Michael Roth | Prep Hoops Scout
Another prospect who had a dominant freshman season, Hill finished second in the GMC in scoring. Hill has a high feel for the game and uses his frame well on drives. A high-volume shooter, Hill was tasked with leading the Sycamore offense this winter and attempted 3-pointers and free throws at an extremely high rate, types of shots that can be very efficient at the college level. Hill really caught fire at the end of the season, scoring 20+ points in six of his final eight games. A season-high of 32 points in a win over Lakota East was Hill’s marquee performance of the season.

One of the most productive freshman in Ohio, Hill scored over half of the Aviators points on Sunday afternoon. With a polished game, Hill makes smart drives and has the strength to play through contact. Struggling from the outside in this one, Hill made two or more 3-pointers in 16 of his last 19 games coming into Sunday’s contest. Finishing second in the GMC in scoring as just a freshman, the future is very bright for Hill.

One of the top incoming freshman in the state, Hill had another nice day as a scorer from multiple levels. With a smooth 3-point shot, Hill knocked down a couple of spot-up 3-pointers and forced the defense to guard him well beyond the 3-point line. Add in his quick first step and Hill could get to the paint when attacking closeouts. With a strong overall offensive feel, expect Hill to be a name GMC fans get to know over the next four years.

Another 2029 prospect who was one of the top players I saw on Sunday, Hill was making it rain from long distance. A confident shooter from both wings, Hill was knocking down spot-up, one dribble pull-up and DHO 3-pointers from everywhere on the court. When Hill had his feet set, it was going in almost every time. One of the more notable incoming freshman from the Cincinnati area, expect to hear a lot about Hill over the next few seasons.
