The first live period weekend of the spring took place over the weekend and out in-state prospects were in action in multiple area across the state. I was able to get up to Mishawka, Indiana to get eyes on a few of our in-state prospects that were competing at the Adidas 3SSB Session II event. Below are some of my own personal player notes from a few players.

I think when I look at all the player performances that I have seen this spring, [player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] dropping 27 points going 7-8 from three is problem the top one. Zachary always amazes me every time I watch him, but this performance at 3SSB felt special, like he was on mission in front of a host of D1 programs. He couldn't miss any shot he took and was that on-ball leader Midwest Basketball Club needed in their win. He should earn a bunch of offers after this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140345' first='Cooper' last='Zachary'] gets most of the attention from Midwest Basketball 2027 and rightly so, but his fellow in-state teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2414955' first='Luke' last='Vandegriff'] showed some nice things as well over the weekend. The 6'10 center seems to get better a little bit after little bit every time we get a chance to watch him and this weekend, I felt like he was the most efficient around the basket that I had ever seen him. Such a big body that takes up a lot of space in the paint.

Indiana Elite 2027 is still a team trying to figure out all the pieces, but the one thing that is for certain is 2027 Silver Creek guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140328' first='Brandon' last='Hunter'] runs the show for them. Everything that Indiana Elite seems to start and end with Hunter as he is the best true playmaker on their roster. Not only is he a elite playmaker in multiple areas, he just plays with an unbelievable motor and hustle on both ends of the floor. He will earn himself some new offers after this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140359' first='Elijah' last='King'] made the move over to Indiana Elite this weekend and right away, his impact was felt. King brought instant physicality to the backcourt and just really excelled attacking the lane and getting to the rim. King is a 6'2 combo guard that is build like a running back with a lot of explosiveness off the dribble. He proved to be a great pickup for Indiana Elite 2027.

There may not be a prospect in the in-state 2028 class that has as high of upside than [player_tooltip player_id='2878216' first='Bradley' last='Basila'] of Chesterton. Got another chance to see him over the weekend and was once again with impressed with his raw athleticism around the basket. He was an elite rounder and lob threat in both of the game I was able to watch of Indiana Elite 2028. Hi will surely start getting the offers to start rolling in.
