Bolden was one of the better post prospects I got a chance to watch over the weekend at Run N Slam. He moves so well at his skill position and was very active on the glass even giving his team multiple second chance points. Thought he ran the floor very well and became a mismatch problem vs the defense. Had the game-winning dunk in the game I saw, as well.

It always feel weird to include such a highly ranked prospect in an “under-the-radar” write up, but Bolden doesn’t always get the statewide praise that his play deserves. The 6’7″ junior forward posted another huge statistical output on Saturday finishing with 26 points and 15 rebounds in a 49-40 win for Cardinal Ritter over Besthesda Christian. Bolden is closing in the 1,000 career point milestone.

We saw Bolden finish with 18 points and 9 rebounds in their 83-68 evening loss to Blackhawk Christian. The 6’7″ junior forward displayed strong hands, a soft finishing touch, and his high-level rebounding ability in that one. However, he was even better in Cardinal Ritter’s first game of the day. In that one Bolden scored 25 points to help lead a 70-66 comeback victory over New Palestine.

Admittedly, Tuesday night was not Bolden’s best performance. He struggled to get clean post catches and was neutralized on the on the offensive glass by University’s length and athleticism. However, as you would expect from the 6’7″ junior big man, Bolden still finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Cardinal Ritter got a tight victory over CHCA in a game that was back and forth throughout the entire contest. Bolden is a talented forward with soft hands and quick feet. Bolden scored off a nice backdoor lob play that Cardinal Ritter ran at least three or four times for easy layups. Bolden also had a great sequence where he got a steal, advanced the basketball and then got it back for a tough layup finish. Later in the game he did the same thing after blocking a shot at the rim, quickly showing his ability to go from making an impact on defense to offense. Without

for CHCA, there was no stopping Bolden in the paint and he feasted with arguably the most dominant performance of the entire weekend if you look at the box scores.

The highest ranked prospect in attendance, Bolden certainly proved himself as a future college player at “The Expo.” Bolden is a 6’7″ forward that rebounds the ball as well as anyone in the class. He also has noticeably gotten more athletic as he appeared bouncier around the basket throughout the summer and at Saturday’s event. The Cardinal Ritter junior appears to have improved his outside shooting stroke as well. If he can add some range to an already advanced interior game he will become even harder to stop.
