Bolden has been on a tear since arriving at Rocktop earlier this fall. The 6-foot-8 big man was highly effective diving to the rim and finishing or snatching up rebounds on both ends of the floor. He did a large majority of his damage inside the arc, but has good quickness and touch, making him very hard to guard. His scoring and rebounding will help him to find the ideal college home this season. 

The Indiana native caught fire in the second half as Rocktop erased a 20-point deficit before knocking off a short-handed Imhotep team in overtime. At 6-foot-6, Bolden is a versatile combo forward who can be equally effective finishing around the basket or stepping away from it. With Rocktop likely to feature him heavily, he has an opportunity to put together a big final campaign statistically.

Bolden is one of the top forward prospects in the Garden State and is looking to put it on display during the course of the season. The 6’7 forward has a strong frame, which he uses to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. Bolden can also put the ball on the floor and his range extends out to the three-point line. He is a strong rebounder and uses his length to influence shots around the rim. Bolden’s ability to control the paint is something that will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

As a sort of last hurrah before heading out east to Rocktop Academy in New Jersey, Bolden turned in a dominant performance at the Indiana All-Star Classic. The 6’7″ forward/center who holds a few Division I offers already not only controlled the paint but also showed off a smooth three-point shooting stroke. That development has really allowed him to expand his game. Bolden, who played his first three seasons at Cardinal Ritter, finished with 32 points and 8 rebounds.

A player that has all of the makings to make one of the bigger jumps after this live period weekend is Devin Bolden Devin Bolden 6'8" | PF IN of Cardinal Ritter High School. This spring, Bolden has been running with Progeny 17U and will have a chance to be real dominant for them on UAA circuit this weekend in Ohio at Spooky Nook. Bolden is a 6’7 post presence with consistent finishing and rebounding ability. He holds public D1 offers from both Eastern Kentucky and Toledo.

One of the top prospects participating at the Havoc in the Heartland, Bolden displayed his Division I upside for Progeny UAA. He was a consistent finisher around the basket, showcased his ability to face-up from the mid post and be a scoring threat from there, and also dominated the glass at both ends per usual. The 6’7″ forward recently received an offer from Toledo and should have plenty of eyes on him in the upcoming live period.

Bolden was one of the better post prospects I got a chance to watch over the weekend at Run N Slam. He moves so well at his skill position and was very active on the glass even giving his team multiple second chance points. Thought he ran the floor very well and became a mismatch problem vs the defense. Had the game-winning dunk in the game I saw, as well.

Bolden continues to assert himself as one of the best interior post presences in the state of Indiana. He earned Junior All-Star status this season after averaging 20.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game for Cardinal Ritter. The Ritter Raiders also won a Sectional Championship this season for the first time since 2009.

It always feel weird to include such a highly ranked prospect in an “under-the-radar” write up, but Bolden doesn’t always get the statewide praise that his play deserves. The 6’7″ junior forward posted another huge statistical output on Saturday finishing with 26 points and 15 rebounds in a 49-40 win for Cardinal Ritter over Besthesda Christian. Bolden is closing in the 1,000 career point milestone.

We saw Bolden finish with 18 points and 9 rebounds in their 83-68 evening loss to Blackhawk Christian. The 6’7″ junior forward displayed strong hands, a soft finishing touch, and his high-level rebounding ability in that one. However, he was even better in Cardinal Ritter’s first game of the day. In that one Bolden scored 25 points to help lead a 70-66 comeback victory over New Palestine.
