About Devin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style would focus on a mix of physicality, rebounding, and versatility. I’d be strong in the paint, using my size and strength to secure rebounds, set solid screens, and finish strong around the rim.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is all about focus, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. I stay composed under pressure and thrive in high stakes situations, always looking for ways to improve and adjust to challenges. I’m not afraid to put in the hard work, whether it’s perfecting a skill or pushing through a tough game. My personality is competitive but team oriented; I always prioritize the team’s success.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed a strong sense of leadership and teamwork through both on-court and off-court experiences. On the court, I’ve learned how to lead by example, whether it’s staying positive during tough moments, motivating teammates, or making sure everyone is focused on the same goal. I’ve also become really good at recognizing when to step up and when to support others, which is crucial in a team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I've faced a few significant challenges, both on and off the court. One of the biggest challenges was overcoming a sickness that sidelined me for a period of time. It was tough mentally and physically, as I had to adjust to being away from the game I love. During that time, I learned the importance of patience and resilience. I focused on rehabilitation, and while I wasn’t able to play.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that has a strong balance between athletics and academics. Ideally, I want a place where I can continue to grow as a basketball player while also receiving a quality education. A school with a competitive basketball program, but also one that emphasizes the importance of personal development, leadership, and teamwork off the court would be perfect.

Bolden was one of the better post prospects I got a chance to watch over the weekend at Run N Slam. He moves so well at his skill position and was very active on the glass even giving his team multiple second chance points. Thought he ran the floor very well and became a mismatch problem vs the defense. Had the game-winning dunk in the game I saw, as well.

Bolden continues to assert himself as one of the best interior post presences in the state of Indiana. He earned Junior All-Star status this season after averaging 20.9 points, 12.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game for Cardinal Ritter. The Ritter Raiders also won a Sectional Championship this season for the first time since 2009.

It always feel weird to include such a highly ranked prospect in an “under-the-radar” write up, but Bolden doesn’t always get the statewide praise that his play deserves. The 6’7″ junior forward posted another huge statistical output on Saturday finishing with 26 points and 15 rebounds in a 49-40 win for Cardinal Ritter over Besthesda Christian. Bolden is closing in the 1,000 career point milestone.

We saw Bolden finish with 18 points and 9 rebounds in their 83-68 evening loss to Blackhawk Christian. The 6’7″ junior forward displayed strong hands, a soft finishing touch, and his high-level rebounding ability in that one. However, he was even better in Cardinal Ritter’s first game of the day. In that one Bolden scored 25 points to help lead a 70-66 comeback victory over New Palestine.

There may not be a big man in the state that is having a better start to the year than what Devin Bolden Devin Bolden 6'8" | PF IN is for Cardinal Ritter. As of this writing, Bolden is averaging an extremely impressive double-double of 22.2 points and 15 rebounds per game. Having big game after big game this season, Bolden has gotten more athletic and bouncier around the post and is still and elite finisher through contact. Cardinal Ritter will be competing in the Lawrenceburg Tournament this week.

Bolden turned in one of the most impressive statistical performances of the 2025-2026 season so far on Friday night. The talented 6’7″ junior forward/center went off for 41 points and 20 rebounds in Cardinal Ritter’s 77-50 win over Indianapolis Lutheran.

Admittedly, Tuesday night was not Bolden’s best performance. He struggled to get clean post catches and was neutralized on the on the offensive glass by University’s length and athleticism. However, as you would expect from the 6’7″ junior big man, Bolden still finished with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Cardinal Ritter got a tight victory over CHCA in a game that was back and forth throughout the entire contest. Bolden is a talented forward with soft hands and quick feet. Bolden scored off a nice backdoor lob play that Cardinal Ritter ran at least three or four times for easy layups. Bolden also had a great sequence where he got a steal, advanced the basketball and then got it back for a tough layup finish. Later in the game he did the same thing after blocking a shot at the rim, quickly showing his ability to go from making an impact on defense to offense. Without Griffin Ridner Richard Griffin Ridner Richard Griffin Ridner Richard 6'5" | PF Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy | 2026 State OH for CHCA, there was no stopping Bolden in the paint and he feasted with arguably the most dominant performance of the entire weekend if you look at the box scores.

The highest ranked prospect in attendance, Bolden certainly proved himself as a future college player at “The Expo.” Bolden is a 6’7″ forward that rebounds the ball as well as anyone in the class. He also has noticeably gotten more athletic as he appeared bouncier around the basket throughout the summer and at Saturday’s event. The Cardinal Ritter junior appears to have improved his outside shooting stroke as well. If he can add some range to an already advanced interior game he will become even harder to stop.
