Prep Ho[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Indiana had boots on the ground coverage from Spooky Nook in Hamilton, Ohio for UAA Session II/UA Rise Session I. The first live evaluation period of the spring brought coaches into the gym from all across the country which always helps to generate a different level of buzz. Throughout the weekend we dropped our typical notebook-style write-ups to provide coverage in real time. However, now as we debrief from the weekend, we will take a more expansive view of what we saw. Let's now dive in and take a closer look at the 16u level starting here with some of the top individual performers from the state of Indiana.

A consistent top performer for this very talented [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] 16u team, Baskerville was once again a standout over the weekend at UA Rise Session I in Hamilton, Ohio. The 6'0" guard from New Haven High School is such a talented offensive weapon with a variety of skills. He can use his athleticism and strength to play through contact and get to the rim off of the dribble or light it up from beyond the arc when left open. Baskerville is a true combo guard that can produce both on and off of the ball. He was a critical piece of [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] 16u's dominant 4-0 weekend.

Another standout for [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] 16u as they went 4-0, winning each game by double-figures, at UA Rise Session I in Hamilton, Ohio this past weekend. Coolman is a super skilled guard that can really shoot it from three-point range. In the game we watched he was hot from deep early and then used his threat from beyond the arc to open up the driving lanes where he found success with his floater and as a playmaker for others. This [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] team has a ton of talent and skill in the backcourt.

We know how talented Hogue is and that is why he is ranked as a Top 20 prospect in the Prep Ho[program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] Indiana Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings. However, it is always good to see him flash his talent and get reassurance as to why we have him ranked so highly. That is exactly what Hogue provided while playing several UAA opponents this past weekend with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 16u. He shoots the ball very well from three-point range, has the athleticism to finish up around the rim at the end of his drives, and rebounds the ball well from the guard position.

Anytime you comes across a 6'6" wing that can really shoot the basketball you are going to be intrigued. Jones displayed his three-point shooting ability in the couple of games we watched at UA Rise Session I of the Indiana Jammers 16u squad. His catch-and-shoot ability is what stands out the most and is certainly the most projectable, but he is also able to attack closeouts in a straight line to his right hand as the defense runs at him aggressively. When the shots start to fall it is pretty impressive. Under-the-radar prospect from Edgewood High School that could really breakout over the next year or so.

A smaller point guard for Progeny 16u, Lawson had some big games over the weekend at UA Rise Session I. He was a big part of a come-from-behind win on Saturday morning scoring 12 points that included a tough off-hand floater in the lane, a pull-up mid-range jumper, and a three-point shot from the left wing. Lawson also reportedly posted a double-double with points and assists in Progeny's afternoon win on Saturday. The Warren Central High School product is a crafty offensive player with plenty of ball skill that puts pressure on opposing defenses from all levels.

We know that this Chesterton guard can really shoot the basketball, but he had his point guard skills on full display for [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 16u while they played up against UAA competition over the weekend. The 6'0" guard has the ball skill and quickness to get into the paint and draw help from which point he makes sound decisions and has great vision. Ray had multiple games with high assist numbers while also contributing in the scoring column as needed. Very talented guard with an excellent skill set.

Wikerson has really blossomed this spring with Progeny 16u. The talented 6'3" wing was a role player as a sophomore on the Class 4A State Championship Jeffersonville team, but is now proving that he is ready to take over the reigns as one of the primary contributors next season. He has such a well-rounded game scoring both on the perimeter and around the basket consistent while possessing excellent athletic and physical tools. Wilkerson has been one of the more consistently impressive prospects this spring among the state's current sophomore class.
