Believe it or not, June basketball is just right around the corner which means we will be right back into high school play as summer kicks off. Spring AAU is in full swing right now, but that does not mean we cannot look ahead to June where we will see our in-state prospects get back with their respective high school squads for a full month. For the next few weeks, we will look at some players for each class and position group as I give you my personal watch list for the month of June. Of course, every player we have in the state is a must-watch, but here are four shooting guards in the 2027 class that you should focus on just a little bit more.

When it comes to the 2027 in-state class, there may not be a more pure shooter than Decatur Central's [player_tooltip player_id='2140420' first='Nash' last='Sigmund']. At the 6-foot-1, Sigmund has an incredible feel on the wing and one of the more pure shots you find here in the state. He is coming off a season that him average 9.8 points for Decatur Central and he has had a real strong showing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 17u this spring thus far. He is a type of player that can catch fire in a hurry and will do it efficiently. June could be a big month for him.

One of the better up-and-coming shooting guards we have in the in-state 2027 class and is coming off a big sophomore year at Columbus North. Averaging a strong 12.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game as a sophomore, Perry is a 6-foot-1 shooting guard that just brings playmaking on the floor. He is really good at making shots off the dribble and has a solid flow to his game. Interested to see more of him come June.

A guard in the 2027 class that all coaches need to circle right now is McCutcheon's [player_tooltip player_id='2141040' first='Brody' last='Baker'] because this guy is on the verge of a major breakout. We at Prep Hoops Indiana have had a chance to watch him a few times already this spring playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 16u and we have come out majorly impressed every time. Production, production, and production is the what Baker brings when on the floor proving that with his 20.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as just a sophomore. His shot is so smooth and he has the combination of ball-handling ability and vertical athleticism to create clean looks for himself. He should have a ton of eyes on him in June.

If you want a guard that provides a great amount of size on the wing, Terre Haute North shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2425772' first='Tyler' last='Renn'] is the player for you when it comes to the 2027 class. At 6-foot-5, Renn is a stud with the ball in his hands using his length, athleticism, and fluidity to create scoring chances. His size and frame is going to for sure catch some coach's attention when June rolls around and he has the skillset to really breakout on his own the next couple of seasons. One of the more interesting prospects we have in the in-state 2027 class.
