High School Spotlight: Brebeuf Jesuit Braves

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. Leading the way once again this season is senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561106' first='Austin' last='Ford'], who returns after averaging 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per game last year. Ford is a player who can control the pace of a game and displays terrific instincts on the ball in the backcourt. He's one of the most under-the-radar players in the entire state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player:&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='2140342' first='Chace' last='Ford']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There's another Ford brother on this roster, and he's one of the players we feel is on the cusp of breaking out in the 2027 class. [player_tooltip player_id='2140342' first='Chace' last='Ford'] returns with solid varsity experience after averaging 6.7 points per game as a sophomore last season. One of the quickest and most explosive guards in the 2027 class, Ford gets to the rim extremely well and thrives in the lane.
