The grassroots season is officially underway and we hit the ground running on the Prep Hoops Circuit with “The Stage” at The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon. Three rounds of games were played on Friday night to kickstart the weekend before a full Saturday and Sunday of action. We had a team full of our best scouts from throughout the Midwest in the gym this weekend to help provide the best coverage possible and that will continue to be the standard throughout the spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. As we do after each event, let's now award All-Tournament selections to some of the top prospects from the weekend. Here are the best of the best from the 17u level.

When Claxton is open on the perimeter you can go ahead and mark down three points. He had his typical knockdown shooting ability on display at The Stage while helping lead a very talented [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] team to a 4-0 record. The 5'10" guard is a crafty driver and finisher around the basket against size as well. He is a proven scorer at Shelbyville High School and should garner small college interest as programs start to turn their attention to the Class of 2026 this spring and summer.

A veteran of the Prep Hoops Circuit, Horvath is back for another year after reclassifying to 2026. The talented guard was highly sought after by small college programs heading into his senior season at Park Tudor, but he ultimately decided to attend prep school and make another run at the spring and summer circuit. Horvath, as usual, was among the standouts for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] at The Stage. He is an outstanding perimeter shotmaker and has continued to get physically stronger which helps him finish around the basket at the end of his drives. Look for him to continue to garner some college interest now that he is in the Class of 2026.

One of the more impressive perimeter prospects at The Stage, Mattucci showcased his high-level shooting ability and excellent positional size throughout the weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2076263' first='NOVA' last='Village'] as they dominated the competition and finished 4-0. The 6'4" guard is ranked as a Top 20 prospect in the state of Ohio and it was easy to see why. Look for him to garner a lot of college interest as NOVA heads to the UAA Circuit after getting their tuneup in at The Stage.

Muhl was one of the most impressive pure point guards at The Stage. The 5'10" guard from Rochester High School in Michigan was the hub of the offense for [program_tooltip program_id='2075517' first='Hopson' last='Elite'] showcasing his skills both as a scorer and as a playmaker. He is a high percentage shot-maker from the perimeter, but can also shake up his defender, get into the lane, and make plays for others as he draws help. Ranked as a Top 20 prospect in the state of Michigan, Muhl will absolutely be a highly sought after prospect throughout the spring and summer.

There were some really intriguing big men at The Stage this weekend and this 6'7″ center from Licking Heights High School was among the best of the bunch. Simon was a big part of [program_tooltip program_id='2076263' first='NOVA' last='Village'] ‘s dominant 4-0 weekend as he consistently blocked shots, impacted many others, and cleaned the glass. Also, Simon was the front man in their full court press that caused opponents issues all weekend long. Along with the defensive impact, Simon was a force on the interior and above-the-rim finisher offHe is definitely one for college coaches to keep an eye on this spring and summer. Very high upside.

Fresh off of an outstanding junior season at Wester High School, this 6'1″ guard turned in a great weekend at The Stage. [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u went 4-0 and Biggs' play was a big reason for their consistent success. He is a dynamic creator with the ball in his hands, makes tough shots from every level of the floor, and has a sneaky athletic burst both end-to-end and vertically. Small college programs should keep an eye on Biggs throughout the spring and summer.

A long, highly athletic wing from Flat Rock High School in Michigan, this 6'5" prospect was excellent The Academy Black on their 3-1 weekend. Goins has a lot of very intriguing athletic and physical tools, but it was his ability to step out and knockdown some catch-and-shoot three-point shots that really got the imagination going in terms of his upside. He had a very good weekend all-around for The Academy Black 17u at The Stage.

It has been a really good last few weeks for this University High School prospect. He helped lead his team to the Class 2A State Finals and scored 20 points at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Now, fresh off of a strong junior season, Gray had an excellent weekend at The Stage to start the grassroots season. His three-point shooting is what sticks out the most when evaluating him, but he is also shifty with the ball in his hands and has enough athleticism and length to elevate and finish inside.

Lundeberg was a major bright spot for M14 Hoops 17 National-1 as we watched them run into a bit of a buzzsaw both on Saturday against B-Rod Select and on Sunday to [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier']. The 6'3" guard did a little bit of everything including shooting it well from three-point range, creating for himself off of the dribble, and using his size to score at the end of his drives around the rim. There is a lot to like about his upside and two-way versatility.

O'Neil was pouring it in throughout the weekend at The Stage. He averaged 21 points per game for [program_tooltip program_id='2076263' first='NOVA' last='Village'] 17u-2 on their way to a perfect 4-0 weekend. The 6'2" guard is shifty with the ball in his hands, comfortable playing in isolation, and consistently scored at the end of his drives. Whether he is making catch-and-shoot 3's off of the ball or creating his own shot as a primary ball handler, O'Neil certainly showcased his scoring chops while contributing to winning.
