A late bloomer who just got on my radar during the playoffs as a junior, Simon is a two-way force in the paint. A strong frame and length to block shots at the rim, I’ve seen a little more offensive skill flashed by Simon recently with Nova Village. Licking Valley has also impressed during the month of June with some impressive wins as they project to be one of the tougher teams to match-up with in Division II across Ohio.

One of the most athletic bigs in Ohio, Simon is a force as a rim runner and lob threat. Able to finish above the rim, Simon is somebody you need to box out on the offensive glass and keep a body near him when he’s rolling to the basket. Also a strong shot blocker defensively, Simon is consistently altering shots at the rim. Still developing an all-around offensive game, Simon has the physical gifts that college coaches seek out from the center position and the natural fluidity to guard on the perimeter when switched onto guards. I think a college program that prioritizes Simon’s offensive development could get an impactful player to their program.

There were some really intriguing big men at The Stage this weekend and this 6’7″ center from Licking Heights High School was among the best of the bunch. Simon was a big part of NOVA Village ‘s dominant 4-0 weekend as he consistently blocked shots, impacted many others, and cleaned the glass. Also, Simon was the front man in their full court press that caused opponents issues all weekend long. Along with the defensive impact, Simon was a force on the interior and above-the-rim finisher offHe is definitely one for college coaches to keep an eye on this spring and summer. Very high upside.

I watched Simon for the first time in the playoffs in February and he displayed his impressive athleticism. A big who can play above the rim offensively and block shots, Simon provides a vertical element on both ends. In Saturday I thought he showed some flashes with the ball in his hands as a play finisher and passer as well. Besides protecting the rim, Simon did a nice job at the front of a full court press, using his length and athleticism to force turnovers. Intriguing name from central Ohio.

One of the more intriguing new names I’ve come across in the 2026 class this season, Simon is a monster athlete with a big time frame. Really looking the part physically, Simon has broad shoulders and plays above the rim with a couple dunks on Thursday night and he almost brought the roof down when he nearly missed a poster on a defender. Really intrigued to see what he’s able to do with Nova Village this summer on the UAA circuit, he physically will be able to match-up with a lot of other bigs.
