The grassroots season is officially underway and we hit the ground running on the Prep Hoops Circuit with “The Stage” at The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon. Three rounds of games were played on Friday night to kickstart the weekend before a full Saturday and Sunday of action. We had a team full of our best scouts from throughout the Midwest in the gym this weekend to help provide the best coverage possible and that will continue to be the standard throughout the weekend. Before diving into a lot of recap content in the coming days, let's take a look at a handful of prospects from the state of Indiana that stood out throughout the weekend.

Claxton will be on the radar of small college coaches throughout the spring and summer. He obviously isn't the biggest guard, but the skill level makes up for being 5'10". The Shelbyville High School guard shot the lights out for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u this weekend at The Stage. He is quick enough to create space off of ballscreens and handoffs, but then also makes them off of screening action as a cutter. Excellent shooter and all-around scorer.

This Class of 2027 point guard played up at the 17u level for INB Elite at The Stage which makes his performance throughout the weekend that much more impressive. Ford handled the ball a lot for his team as a primary playmaker in ball screen situations and shot the ball very well from three-point range. One to watch from Brebeuf Jesuit this spring and summer.

The confidence from leading University to the Class 2A State Finals, and scoring 20 points at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, continued to carry Gray this weekend at The Stage. He is shooting the ball at a very high level right now making tough ones both off the catch and off of the dribble. Gray is very fluid with the ball in his hands and can create his own shot with ease. Very smooth offensive player.

A standout on the gridiron with a dozen Division I offers, Reddick showed off his prowess on the hardwood over the weekend with [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 17u. He is so long and athletic in the backcourt. Opposing defenses had a very hard time keeping him from getting downhill and then his athleticism would takeover and allow him to finish in a variety of ways.

Thomas had an excellent weekend for the [program_tooltip program_id='2305499' first='Hoosier' last='State Prospects']. He led the team in scoring at 16 points per game which included a 24-point outburst in a win over Next Generation 17u on Saturday evening. The Franklin Community High School guard shot 10-15 from three-point range across three games at The Stage.

[program_tooltip program_id='2076162' first='Team' last='Blaze Select'] 17u brought a group of players from in and around the Bloomington area to The Stage this weekend. Walker, a 6'0" playmaking point guard was one that stood out as they went 2-2 against some strong competition. He is very quick with the ball in his hands, got consistent paint touches, and made good decisions from a live dribble. His ability, and willingness, as a passer was very impressive especially considering he was playing up a year at the 17u level as a Class of 2027 prospect.
