<p>Another incredibly competitive league in New England, there are a number of prospects that could have made these teams, as the competition for Player of the Year and All-NEPSAC was at an all-time high.</p>

<p>Below are the 2024-2025 Prep Hoops New England NEPSAC A Player of the Year and All-NEPSAC teams.</p>

<p><strong><em>Player of the Year: [player_tooltip player_id='2325731' first='Preston' last='Edmead'] - Williston Northampton School</em></strong></p>

<p>Edmead, a dynamic lead guard, capped off a teriffic senior campaign by leading <em>Williston Northampton</em> to a NEPSAC Class A championship. The ultimate winner, he showed a terrific feel for the game as a creator, particularly in the half-court. He's an elite ball handler that proved capable of playing at multiple speeds, made great decisions out of ball screens, and scored at all three levels. Down the stretch of the season, he proved to be one of the top perimeter shooters in the region, and capped off the season by knocking down six threes on his way to 26 points in the championship game. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Hofstra University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='1239437' first='Ryder' last='Frost'] - Phillips Exeter Academy</em></strong></p>

<p>Frost, a big time scorer on the wing, showed out all winter long for <em>Phillips Exeter Academy</em>, helping lead his team to an appearance in the NEPSAC Class A championship game. As competitive of a prospect as their was in New England this winter, he proved to be a terrific all around scorer that could take over games with his ability to put the ball in the basket. A big, physical, and athletic wing, he continued to show that he was one of the top three point shooters in the country, knocking down shot after shot after shot from behind the arc. He attacked the paint off the bounce and was an effective rebounder and defender on the other end of the floor. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at the <strong><em>University of Notre Dame</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2325734' first='Landon' last='Clark'] - St. Paul's School</em></strong></p>

<p>Clark, a versatile hybrid forward at <em>St. Paul's School</em>, had a phenomenal campaign and finished the year averaging over 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. The 6'8" lefty continued to operate at a high level in a variety of roles on the offensive end of the floor. A 1,000 point scorer for his career, he scored consistently at all three levels, managed to effectively create for others, and did a nice job of keeping the offense moving. He continued to add strength and athleticism, both of which allowed him to contribute at a higher level on both ends. He rebounded in traffic, guarded multiple positions, and operated as a playmaker in transition. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Princeton University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2325849' first='Dean' last='Hogans'] - The Hotchkiss School</em></strong></p>

<p>Hogans, a talented combo guard at <em>The Hotchkiss School</em>, finished his high school career by being named the <em>Founders League Player of the Year</em>. A crafty scorer in the paint with some serious bounce around the rim, he did a nice job of using his dribble to get to his spots as a finisher. He used his strong frame to finish plays through contact, showed a good understanding of how to navigate ball screens, and could slide off the ball to knock down shots from behind the arc. A big time finisher with space to attack the rim, he proved to be an instinctive cutter and creative scorer over size. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>American University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2693556' first='Ashton' last='Reynolds'] - Williston Northampton School</em></strong></p>

<p>Reynolds, a dynamic wing athlete at <em>Williston Northampton</em>, popped as one of the most explosive performers in New England this winter. A two way threat to make loud plays, he used his athletic gifts to his advantage night in and night out. At 6'3" with long arms, he was a standout defender that could guard multiple positions. A big time shot blocker coming from the help side, he also made plays in passing lanes that led to easy baskets in transition. He improved as a perimeter jumper shooter, but continued to leave his mark as an aggressive driver that attacked the rim relentlessly and finished with authority once he got there. He is still weighing his college options, with multiple Division I offers on the table.</p>

<p><strong><em>1st Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2470857' first='Reece' last='Ayala'] - Milton Academy</em></strong></p>

<p>Ayala, a big and versatile guard at <em>Milton Academy</em>, proved to be one of the top underclassmen in the region this winter. At 6'4", he has the ability to operate as a primary initiator with a fluid floor game and the ability to take over as a scorer when needed. He does a great job of creating space with his bounce, knows how to play in ball screens, and scores at all three levels. He added strength to his frame and now finishes with authority around the rim. He plays with a great feel for the game, changing speeds and playing at different paces to keep the defense off balance, while also showing to be an effective, multi-positional defender on the other end of the floor. The only underclassman on this list, he will head to <em>Brewster Academy</em> in the fall.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='1489428' first='Daithi' last='Quinn'] - Tabor Academy</em></strong></p>

<p>Quinn, a powerful guard at <em>Tabor Academy</em>, made his presence felt on both ends of the floor this winter. A big time scorer, he used his strong and compact frame to his advantage, showing the ability to finish plays through contact that most prospects couldn't. He continued to show off an improved outside stroke, with multiple games of 3+ three pointers made. His ability to get into the paint off the bounce stood out, as he was able to make plays for himself and teammates once there. Defensively, he really took pride in shutting down opposing guards and wings, showing the ability to use his strength and lateraly mobility to his advantage when guarding in space. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>East Carolina University</em></strong>.</p>

<p>Abreu, an athletic and versatile guard at <em>Phillips Academy Andover</em>, stood out with his ability to score in isolation situations. With good size at the guard spot and some impressive athletic pop, he did a great job of turning the corner, off drives or when using screens, to get into the paint and finish plays at the rim. He was a quick twitch athlete that had a good handle and showed the ability to go by defenders or create space to get into his jumper as an isolation scorer. He defended any spot on the perimeter, made plays in passing lanes, and quickly turned turnovers into offensive opportunities in transition. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Northeastern University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='1532481' first='Sam' last='Hughes'] - Dexter Southfield School</em></strong></p>

<p>Hughes, a versatile scorer at <em>Dexter Southfield School</em>, made his mark as one of the more impressive scorers in New England. A bigger guard that could score at multiple levels, he impressed with his ability to make plays out of the post against smaller defenders. He did a nice job of using his frame to his advantage, rising up to score over the defense or playing through contact in the paint. On top of that, he was a good decision maker with the ball in his hands. Defensively, he had the strength to guard in the paint and might have been one of the top handful of rebounders from the guard position in the region. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Boston University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='1529119' first='Isaiah' last='Langham'] - Belmont Hill School</em></strong></p>

<p>Langham, a powerful two-way wing at <em>Belmont Hill School</em>, impressed with his skill level and ability to put the ball in the basket. While physically, he looks like he'd stand out on any football field in the country, he moves at an elite level and has serious creation skills with the ball in his hands. A terrific scorer in transition, he was at his best when he was in attack mode, where he could rise up and finish above the rim with authority. He cut hard to the rim without the ball, could operate in screens as the ball-handler or screener, and had a good feel as a passer out of the post. He did a great job of controlling the glass defensively and could guard any position on the floor with his combination of size, strength, and athleticism. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Brown University</em></strong>.</p>

<p><strong><em>2nd Team: [player_tooltip player_id='2546775' first='Quintin' last='Floyd'] - Choate Rosemary Hall</em></strong></p>

<p>Floyd, a talented two-way guard at <em>Choate Rosemary Hall</em>, proved to be a creative playmaker that could also operate as a secondary scorer. He showed elite speed in the open floor and the ability to finish plays in transition as a scorer or creator. He made good decisions out of ball screens, finished over size in the paint, and made shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations. He had impressive floor vision and did a nice job of creating for teammates in the half-court. Defensively, he could really guard in space, used his quick hands and quick feets to create steals and deflections, and did a great job of chasing down rebounds and loose balls in space. He has accepted a scholarship offer to continue his playing career at <strong><em>Saint Michael's College</em></strong>.</p>
