Here is a look back at the better lead guards from Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip-Off this past weekend in Romeoville.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley'] [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] 2028 Peoria Richwoods

Maybe the one of best performances of the weekend came from Amarion. He showed a complete arsenal of moves and he did it with consistency. Smith-Holley shot the ball well from all three levels and is a better passer than most give him credit. Smith-Holley is rapidly becoming one of the better PGs in the state regardless of class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531962' first='Amir' last='Tucker'] [program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite'] 2028

It's been a while since I first saw Tucker at Prep Hoops Freshman Camp. He's grown since then and has taken big steps towards his game. He's a poised guard who looks to get in the lane and dish the rock to his teammates. If he gets a slither of space Amir will knock a shot down. He showed good arm length which he uses well on defense. Will become a breakout player this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125612' first='Devin' last='Cleveland'] [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] 2027 Kenwood

As a nationally ranked player, you can't be surprised that Cleveland would wreck anyone you put in front of him. Cleveland is a smooth scorer who gets to his spots mostly off his slick handles and ability to play in pick-and-rolls. Devin is wired to score but also can be a problem as a passer. He gets deep in the lane and draws attention to set others up.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598786' first='Willie' last='Felton'] 1 Dream 2025 Bishop McNamara

Felton is a pass-first guard that excited the crowd with his assists. He can score from all three levels but becomes a show-stealer with his flashy passes. Willie has good body control and can drop a dime off in the blink of an eye.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552439' first='Logan' last='Luxem'] [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] 2026 Hershey

Luxem is a big guard who plays with some pop. He is a dual threat as a shooter and passer. When Luxem is playing with good energy you are in for a treat. He can get hot from the perimeter and go on a run if left open. When using high ball screens Logan can zip passes all over the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531995' first='Eze' last='Nwagwu'] [program_tooltip program_id='2452458' first='Ayo' last='Dos Elite'] 2028 St. Rita

A freshman guard who plays with a ton of confidence and isn't afraid to get in the lane and looks to score with bigger players. Nwagwu has quick hands on defense and can effectively disrupt opposing guards.

Tyjuan Hunter [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] 2026 Hope Academy

The leader of the small size big heart group is this Hope standout guard. Hunter is a floor general who gets his team into a flow with how well he sets everyone up. What makes Tyjuan so good is his play-off ball screens and in iso situations. Anytime he can beat the first defender and get to the second line of defense he makes a play. Hunter had a solid weekend for the Fire.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531964' first='Angelo' last='Adams'] Chi-Town Bulldogs 2028 St. Rita

One of the few freshman players playing up on the 17U. Adams is a scoring guard at 5'7”. He can score off the dribble but is a long-range bomber from behind the arc. Angelo has a good handle with the ball and tries to make the right play. A player to monitor as he grows.

Cash Daniels [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] 2027 Cathedral (Ind.)

A lightning-quick guard who is impossible to deal with in open space. When the game is in the half-court setting Daniels will set up guys when he gets past the initial defender and look to dish it off. Cash is also a pesky defender that makes the game tough on opposing guards.

J'Cobi Mathis Wisconsin Playground 2028 St. Augustine Prep (Wisc.)

Mathis was good all weekend. He's a dynamic point guard who can score multiple ways. Some of his better moments came with his drives to the rim. J'Cobi used side steps to slip past whoever was in front of the rim. When he had the rock on the perimeter Mathis drained several shots from three. He has a feel for the game and is a capable enough of a lead guard to become a top prospect in the state of Wisconsin.

Mikey Woods [program_tooltip program_id='2452456' first='Mac' last='Irvin Fire'] 2027 Morton (Ind.)

Woods hasn't changed his game since moving across the state line to Indiana. He's one of the few guards who you know will pick up 94 feet for the majority of the game. Mikey scored most of his points off steals that he created with his quick hands and anticipation.

[player_tooltip player_id='2834050' first='Jaivyn' last='Richardson'] [program_tooltip program_id='2452458' first='Ayo' last='Dos Elite'] 2028 Whitney Young

Richardson is a small PG who had the biggest stock rise after his game against The Fire 15s. Jaivyn proved that he can operate as a scorer and passer in a highly intense game. He made clutch shots with some of the bigger guards chasing him off the perimeter. Richardson is a gamer and we are excited to see his progress over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2816850' first='Davuan' last='Bates'] Geek Squad 2028 De La Salle

Bates is a shifty scoring guard who ran up points quickly with fastbreak points. With good instincts and quick hands to defend full court he made some plays that helped change the pace of the game. Davuan can drain shots from three but also be effective at the lead guard spot with how he finds guys while on the move. A very underrated 2028 PG.
