It's still so early for these 2028 rankings that there is a ton of volatility, even at the top. This class looks to be loaded with talent already and there are still plenty of players out there who haven't even been discovered yet. Here's a breakdown of the top ten in our latest update.

Jackson moves up to the top spot and has ridiculous upside, long term. Jordan is a walking highlight reel who finishes everything above the rim. His overall skill set needs to get a lot better but if Jordan gets comfortable on the wing, we could be talking about a top 100 or better national prospect in the 28 class.

Cook moves up from 5th to 2nd and is in the mix for the top spot. Long and athletic, Boogie plays above the rim but also has good developing skills on the wing. A high ceiling/high floor prospect, the 6'7 forward looks like a future national recruit and potential top 100 national talent.

Another big time talent in this class, Mitchell is a volume scorer who is a skilled passer and playmaker, too. Jordan has a high basketball IQ and can get into the paint and either kick it out or finish, often through contact. He's already earned a D1 offer and likely to see several more come his way.

An explosive athlete, Josh has had some of the most impressive highlight tapes in this class, so far. Lindsay missed the end of the season with an injury but there are not many players around with the long term upside that Josh has.

Trey has slowed down growing and become much more coordinated. Which has really helped his skill level. Hillerich has a tendency to float around the perimeter on offense but as he starts to add bulk to his frame, expect the 6'9 forward to get even better. If the big fella were a stock, you'd want to buy now and hold it for the future.

In most classes, Andrew would be a clear cut #1 prospect but that's a testament to the depth of this class overall. Terry is athletic and still growing. He was not a primary option at Montgomery County this year but maximized his opportunities. Andrew is a name to monitor as we move forward thanks to his potential.

Davie is the least known of the top ten because of where he plays high school in northern Kentucky but he is skilled and plays super hard. Austin is going to be in the mix as the top player in Northern Kentucky for the next 3 years.

Brady could move up this list as he will get plenty of chances to shine at Great Crossing next season with Moreno gone. Orem can score with his back to the basket and is willing to face up and shoot. Keep an eye on the big man from Georgetown, moving forward.

Grayson is the biggest scorer on the list as he averages over 20 points per game at Knox Central while shooting 50% overall and 41% from three. He narrowly missed the 50/40/90 club. Burton is a big shooter who has plenty of room to add bulk and improve his overall athleticism.

Sears is a shooter who is comfortable pulling up to shoot from deep range. Austin shot 47/37/87 for his freshman season while averaging 16 points per game. As he grows and adds some muscle, look for Sears to become a tougher defender as well as improving his rebounding numbers.
