Sectional 11: Friday Night Recap

It is Friday night which means we are at the semifinals of Sectional week! Tonight, Prep Hoops Indiana is on the road and myself, Kyler Staley, is here in attendance for Sectional 11 at Avon. Tonight's games features Pike vs Ben Davis first followed by Brownsburg vs Plainfield. Both of these games have the chance to be very good! Below is a full recap of both games.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pike vs Ben Davis</h2>   Quarter 1   Ben Davis wins the tip and we are off   Pike playing some strong defense to start. Jashawn Ladd strong drive gets him to the free throw line. He goes 2-2. Giants up 2-0.   Pike with a steal. Would lead to senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1471428' first='Pierce' last='Collins'] traveling, however.    After a few minutes of not scoring, Pike sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] ties it up. Damon Howrd would hit a three for the Red Devils to take the lead.   [player_tooltip player_id='1373105' first='Mark' last='Zackery'] would check in and drill a three.    Ladd hits a three from a Zackery assist. He would get a fast break score too. Giants lead 19-7.    Miller gets fouled. He goes 2-2. Red Devils down 10.    Terrencio Davis with a floater. He goes 1-2 at the line.    Bulldogs call timeout with 3:20 left in the quarter. Really strong defense by Plainfield right now.    Brownsburg sophomore guard Benden Sharpe goes 1-2 at the line. Timeout Plainfield at the 7:05 mark.    [player_tooltip player_id='2278011' first='Devon' last='Craig'] comes up with a huge offensive rebound and get fouled while doing so. He goes 2-2 and now the Bulldogs have the lead.    Steal by Plainfield's [player_tooltip player_id='2485792' first='Colton' last='East'] leads to a [player_tooltip player_id='1561513' first='Noah' last='Smith'] slam. Sharp play.    Criag gets another offensive rebound and put-back.    Harper-Baker lands with a steal and bucket. Teams trading buckets now.    Tied game at the 36 with 2:00 to go in the quarter.    [player_tooltip player_id='2053666' first='Michael' last='Addison'] with a steal and score at the buzzer to tie it up.   End 3Q: Plainfield 38, Brownsburg 38   Quarter 4   Brownsburg would start to roll into a 7-point lead. After that, we would see some buckets be traded coming down to the final stretch. With Brownsburg leading 50-47, Plainfield would be able to get a really good shot off to tie it at the buzzer but would miss.    Brownsburg will play Ben Davis tomorrow in the Sectional Championship game.
